Hi all

anyone around Newcastle might know that the Kawasaki shop in Broadmeadow caught fire last night, haven't heard weather or not if deliberate or not... and my condolences go to the owners,

but I'm righting this just asking advice due to the fact that my bike was in the shop at the time... and not sure what to do...

if this is stupid jst say so..

I'm guessing first up is to see what condition your bike is in...
Was the fire a total building destroying inferno ?

I suggest you contact them ASAP and find out how much damage your bike sustained. Then find out if their insurance covers it.

Do you have your own comp insurance?

They would have to have an insurance policy that would cover such a thing! Best of luck Specter, I hope u come out of this ok!

well their insurance will cover it as long as the fire brigade say it isnt suspicious... if its investigated your in for a long wait... you got insurance?

If youve got comprehensive insurance ring your insurer and let them handle the rest after all thats what you pay for. If not your at the mercy of their insurance

Thats no good at all it was a neat shop, all the best to the owners!! well looks like you'll be up for a new bike! i just bought a 2010 nija 250r from there on new years eve and all my gear, love it ive just reached 1000km and i need a service lol well looks like i'll be going elsewhere, but hey the 250r's a nice ride for an entry sports bike like to see how it goes when i can push it to the redline, well i hope your bikes get sorted out and kawasaki broadmeadow will exist in the near future i would love a 2010 zx6r!!!

"was the whole place ruined or is it just a bit smokey?"

I think the place is pretty well trashed 10 fire units in attendance
I drove past but safety fence is up and doors covered in black plastic

I will just finish of the mono-shocked Z1000MKII that's been neglected for too long.

I'm going through my insurance as it will be quicker. they can sort it out between insurance companies later
I heard that damage to customer bikes can be a problem.
One would think they would have a specific policy to cover this but But I've heard of instances where this was not the case.
