Just wondering were i might be able to get some aliminium plate from like 5mm+

I get mine from the local welding & engineering joint... Depends how big of a piece u need tho i guess! I grab the little bits I'v needed out of his scrap n offcuts!

how much do you need?

can get you any plate size you want as long as its reasonable for the cost of post to you.

i got cbr rearsets i didnt realise the lever is mounted seperate, so enough to make a little plate to have tiged to take a gear lever so like 100x50mm 10mm thick.

never really thought of going to a machine shop and just asking how much for off cut, suppose i could even ask exben. as i'm always told ya dont know if ya dont ask.

ok ive got some 10mm ally laying round at work (got called in early)

its 50x10 flat bar ally.....got around 2500mm to spare it seems, so if either if you need some pieces, let me know and i'll cut them up and ship em off.

my mates got a sheet metal machine shop, I go through his scrap bin all the time so if anyones after bits of alum, stainless, gal, let me know and I'll see what hes got. I'm in Maroubra/Sydney.....
