I'm just looking into bringing in a small shipment of bikes from a mob in California some time this year. I've got funding, I just need to get some expressions of interest. They're all cosmetic damage, but rideable.

I'm mainly looking at Buells right now (maybe some Jap litre bikes), but I reckon I can get them here from about $7k for a reasonably late model bike in good working order (few scratches). Am fairly certain they're unregisterable here (yet to confirm with Buells), but would make a good track bike rather than buying a $13k+ one or an auction bike with the front wheel and forks folded up under it.

email me if you're keen as I'll have a list of bikes soon and should be able to offer small deposits to secure bikes.

Im suprised there aren't more Hayabusa's being brought over.

The demand from dragracers and mini-car builders has always kept the price up.

There are dozen's and dozen's just on a quick Ebay search,

and with prices
like this $4725US = $5109 AU i'd have though it would have been worth it.

I think AU complianced frame would be about $1000 went that way.

Large just gave me a list of prices from the last auction he went to and they come in a lot lower than that price (7k) and could be rego'd again here.
What would be the advantage of getting one you cant rego from os over the auctions say?? just to use as a track bike.

All depends what you're after, you won't find much too cheap at the auctions that doesn't need quite a bit of money thrown at it. Pretty much as you put it, track, stunt etc.
