Mail Man brought me my Zorst today.. finally.. So I sold the damaged m4 to Fimp, and regained most of my money back, so I purchased a 320mm Tri Oval from Delkevic.. This Exhaust in my opinion is brilliant, great quality, superb packaging, fitted like a glove, zero problems, till I went to start the bike and battery was dead (I know not pipes fault).. grrr, so I'm a battery away from a sound video and a ride .. cant wait.. What do you guys think of the Exhaust??

What do you guys thinks of these Koso mirrors.. they look ridiculous on top of bars, so I mounted them under them, I don't think they look too bad, and you can see everything in them, no elbows.. what do you reckon??

Nice one mate.
I am a big fan of the Delkevic exhausts. I have had 2 now (due to a crash ruining the first one) and they have both been beautifully made and sound sweet on the SV!
I dont mind those mirrors. and if you can actually see out of them thats a huge bonus :P If you want something a little smaller how about these suckers http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLACK-CNC-BAR-END-MIRROR-KTM-BMW-APRILIA-TRIUMPH-BUELL-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem414c19aaaeQQitemZ28044 9624750QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_4 359wt_1058
I have them on the SV and they do the trick just nicely. You can mount them on top or under the bars.

^^^ There the ones im thinkin about puttin on my 7/11 travis! They look the good i rekon!
Gitz, i like it man! Big fan of the under bar look!
Gitzy
16-08-2010, 04:30 PM
Cheers Guys, well my battery turned up half hour ago, kudos to delkevic again, super fast postage.. put her in and away she goes, went for a 20 min blat.
The chinesy rotors that FlukeyLuke gave me, were beyond ridiculous, he did warn me that he took them off straight away as he suspected they were warped, he was spot on, talk about front end shudder.. wow. so the stock rotors will be going back on tomorrow,
After a few minor adjustments the mirrors worked a treat, I obviously have to look further down but they work great and I didn't really even notice they were there..
Here is a rubbishly rubbish phone video of the Delkevic Tri Oval, terrible sound, I will do a better one later, I don't think the bike is running overly healthy, it does have new plugs, oil, filter etc, but I did remove the exup valve, so the headers are straight through now.. I figured it couldn't be any worse than the seized up valve, but I will get it tuned sometime soon..

I'm not a fan of the mirrors Todd, I think those mirrors look too big to go under the bars, If you compare these two shots, the before shot everything is neat and tidy and then in the second shot BANG! All you see are those mirrors, it kind of distracts from everything else you have done previously to make your bars look uncluttered.
Besides that the rest of the bike is looking awesome mate!

Yup I think there a little on the lumpy side meself Rod.. I never intended on having them under the bars, but whoa didn't they look like bunny ears on top.. i think they were $20, so not a great loss.. I'll end up getting some a little smaller soon.. I leave em there for now though..
pic of the ride toddy !! unless it didnt happen!! lol

Honestly, I reckon finding the right mirrors for a fighter is purely an exercise for frustration, they look cool in the pics but when you fit them.... FAIL, I've got a shed full of the fuckers.

I don't mind them hanging from the bars like that.
I think streetfighters should be exempt from mirror laws, it really does spoil the minimalist effect we are all trying to achieve.

i had "koso" mirrors on the katana for a while at the start of the year
i found them to be shite, wouldnt stay straight at even 70kph
with em under the bars, just dont forget that they are there when lane splitting (made that mistake a few times....)
those cheap koso knock offs from china? Yeah, I liked the look of those but heard they were total wank. I got an Oberon one for the end of the bar, still sitting on my desk waiting to be fitted lol

dont vibrate and the vision in them is great.

I have a hybrid of a couple of different china mirrors, see you have to take the best bits from a few different pairs.
Mirrors look ugly, nothing you can do will make them look good. I reckon those actually look alright considering.

I'm confoozed.. I set it up like this pic.. there are two threaded holes on the opposite side of bottle out of sight.. In one I put overflow hose from the rad and in the other I drilled out a pressure relief hole so it can breathe, which I'll connect a drain hose to and route through to underside of bike when I buy some.. and the drain hole is on the underside.. Is this not a good setup, meaning have I done something wrong?? I'm a little radiator retarded.. I don't want bike to go boom boom.. I went for a ride and all seemed ok though... fill me in lads..

I was on about the way you have mounted it mate, you seem to have drilled the mouting plate directly into the right hand side chamber with two black allen bolts. I'm unfamiliar with the set up. Did you use two existing holes and they are the original bolts or did you drill them in yourself. I could be totally overlooking something....
