Seriously theres a great deal of people on this site that do the right thing for others and the Fighter community here in Aus and around the globe.

But seriously i'm sick of getting fucked around by members that say they are going to buy stuff off ya and ask you to hang onto it for them until they can get some money together, or time to come and collect it.

It fuckn pisses me off that these members think they have the right to ask you to do the right thing by them and then not even have the decency to then get back to you and tell you they dont actually want the stuff at all or where there at with there end of things.

I've currently got 2 members that have been fucking me around for probably a mth now and a 3rd that i'm waiting to hear back from after doing a deal with them and have now heard nothing for a week( but xmas could be his excuse)And i'm not talking about you Lucas.

If you dont want to by something then fuck off and stop waisting every bodies time and let them sell to someone who actually wants the gear, doesn't just pretend to.

It's almost like dealing with fuckn children sometimes, like they need to say yes, just so no-one else can have it.

So for those who know they have fucked me around FUCK YOU!!

All my parts are back on the market and you will not get a look in this time around.

Lucas The bike deal is still going ahead;)

And DCracing The carbs are still yours as discussed, please let me know otherwise.

This is my 2c and having a rant[^]

Rants work better if you spell everything correctly. No such word as waisting.............

I know what you mean about people fucking you around though. It's hard keeping faith in the human race sometimes. Try running you're own business and you will find these people tend to surface quite quickly and on a regular basis. You soon learn to spot them from a thousand paces and avoid raising your blood pressure. I think I read somewhere you are about to start a business.......remember deep breathing and keep smiling whilst calling them idiots in ur head : )

Good luck

i get emails and fone calls every week by people wanting work done and them telling me how cool my work is and they will get me to do all there work ......... never ever hear back from them i started my business this yr and the first part of it was daunting heaps of calls buy no 1 sending there seats to me but after a while i just let it go an ran my own race.

you have every right to be angry its unfair.what ever your doing in business mate i wish you all the best

Sorry dudes... couldn't resist!!!

I'm with you one the whole time-wasting thing.
Don't let it get to you. Call them (or IM, or whatever) and tell them they have 24 hours to contact you, or it's back on the market. Do it on your terms. It's the only way to deal with these fuckers, and not blow a gasket!;)

I know what your saying Damo, there have been a few times i've missed
out on stuff just because i've had enough of being f#cked about in the past.
Not on this forum, but I sold a bike to a "Mate" to get him back on the road
at what it cost me (without my time and labour fixing it up)
only for him to sell it on straight away at 100% profit.

On here I try and stick to folk who I know have a good name or folk I
know i'll be seeing about or at AFR etc. Limits it a bit though.

Having said that, I have always been happy to deal with Ozkat or Devo.
Sharky/Russ even phoned me up when he spotted something I wanted,
he bought it, said fetch it/pay me later.
Gitzy sent me 2 parcels of stuff with a "pay me later".
All top blokes.

Thanks for the mail i will like to know the present condition of the bike and how much you are willing to sell it cos i am buying it as a new-year gift for my son and i am at sea at the moment as i am a marine engineer and i really want the bike to be a surprise for him,so i wont let him know anything about it until it gets delivered to him , i am sure he will be very happy with it.I will pay you with my paypal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your paypal email address so i can make the payments asap for the bike and pls if you don't have paypal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com.au and get it set up , after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with paypal so as to put the money through.I have a pick up agent that will come and pick the bike up after i have made the payment.

Regards.

Bath.

Seriously not that fussed about my spelling but thanks anyway;)

Maybe it's time to have a wall of shame:D

If you get fucked around by a memeber you could put their name up and the problem and let them resond and leave it at that.

At least it would make the fuckers think twice before fucking another member around, especially knowing it may effect them in the future.

Hey Damo1, its just frustrating to get rooted around,im in the trade and its no different. people want some thing we order it up then it sits there you ring they say thanks be there soon, never turn up you ring again you get message bank and it turn to shit from there..my boss has paid for the parts and its money sitting on the shelf (a computor for a ducati is $2000).fuck..so now we ask for a deposit on expensive parts...then you get attitude "i havent got any money on me il pay whn i pick it up"...round we go again seriously damo its just dealing with people they mean well but have empty pockets unfortunatly..i dont know what the answer is but if people want your bits dont be afraid to ask for a deposit..if they are serious it shouldnt be a problem..if it is ,sorry cant help ya mate...see ya

When I was at a big automotive and motorcycle parts importer, all special orders had to be paid for up front. No exceptions.

Yeah, it's tough but better than being stuck with highly specialised and unique equipment.

Very nice old 400/4 Honda, great little bike, local lad i'd known for a while and went to Pub/Bulldog Bash etc with. Even helped him get the parts to finish it.

Just to clarify: Are they paid members or just forum users?

Any idiot can sign up and chat for a bit, and that might earn them some cred, but if people are paying a subscription and then stuffing you about then that's a different situation entirely.

That's why I agree also: Let's have a wall of shame in the paid members section. Membership has its benefits [8D]

Ross 247, Mate, you need to chill out a bit,

http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17771
you confused me with your bad grammar, on 21st dec IE; "post officers" work AT THE "post office"
also, you don't need to que up 3 times, surely you have some bathroom scales and a phone? it aint hard!

Mate, I sold a damaged frame to a guy on here a couple of years ago, i was gonna throw it out, but he asked for one, and he really wanted it, so even tho it wasn't worth my trouble, i sent it him, it was too heavy to post so i sweet talked the PO woman,(freight was waaay over priced) he forgot to pick it up,
so it came back, again, so i had to re-send it to him, he appologised, so it was cool.
I've had guy's give me stuff for nout cos they didn't need it...... that's what we do,
Mate, THIS AINT E-BAY, it's ASF

Mate i'm exactly the same i've have guys give me stuff and i've moved stuff very quickly with no hassels at all.

But it seems i have come across a number lately that have.

As for your comment And i quote "it's not just about the money"

If your selling something and you get shafted and the "money" that you were expecting from the sale don't come through, thats getting fucked around. And unfortunatly it is about the money.

It becomes a transaction of goods you get paid they get the goods.

Yes i agree that it's about the asf community helping each other out, thats why i suggested a wall of sham so you know who not to deal with or be causious of when moving your own gear.

And at the end of the day if you are selling or buying you don't like being fucked around either way.

Moog your a perfect example of people that would be on the wall. Most people here on the forum dont tolerate rudeness and being lied to, and thats exactly wot you did to me. you even "edited" your post to completly different responses, yet you claim you never changed it ? Iv sold other bits and pieces in the past to "paying members" unlike yourself on this site without a drama. I notice your not a paying member which confirms why you were being such a tight ass with the postage cost.

I stand with my suggestion for a sham wall and i don't care where it is.

The reason i no longer am a finanial member is cause i didn't see the benafit of the members only section.
But if there was to be a wall of sham in their i would become a finanial member again just for that alone to see who you could deal with and who to steer clear of.

The fools run i was lucky enough to get to, i reached into my pocket and gave a donation and i had been a finaial member for a while as well.

So keep your rightouse bullshit to yourself i'm not interested in your take on why i should be a finantial member, i have my reasons for no longer doing it, so fuck off.

You seem to every chance you get drop hints to other users here that their not donating members, you should know that not everybody is in a position to actually give if they cant afford it.

You may be cashed up or in a better position than others to donate,
But seriously fuck up mate and stop trying to make your self feel better for giving a little when others may not be able to do so.

And it's quite obviously displayed on every bodies Avatar if they are donating members or not, that was probably your idea to was it??

I agree with Jack on this one.......Yeah I know I'm not a donating member at the moment, I was at one stage and for reasons that I can't go into I had to cancel membership (twas external troubles). Things like this don't run for free, advertisers help but it's up to the users to help out. And when you think about it membership is equal to less than one case of beer or a couple of packs of smokes. And FFS how much do we spend building our bikes up ?

As for the wall of shame.....ok getting dicked around or someone dropping out of a deal sux but is it worth the aggro naming would cause ? I can fully understand for non payment of goods.

All in all I've found all the guys I've dealt with here jolly good blokes.

i dont know about you, but sticks and stones wont pay my bills moog

i havent had something not show up in quite some time
and normally have good success selling on here

but i dont see how a shame wall could hurt, as long as the moderators in charge are being impartial when they decide to put someone on there. perhaps even stating the reasons in point form would help keep this transparent

But there are always two sides to every story and no doubt somebody will be wrongly accused, placed on the list and be ostracised from then on.

I don't believe a list per se will work because cliques and friendships tend to see past cold hard facts.

A sub-forum perhaps in the members area that would allow people to nut out issues with other members and allow constructive feedback and/or conflict resolution.

We are not yet a big enough community where the only way to get an idea about someone is by doing a REVS-type check on another member before dealing with them. Reputation alone has more to do with my reason for dealing with someone than a possibly one-sided "list" ever will...

Me too.

It only seemed like hints? I need to stop being subtle.

$30 surprised anyone can afford the internet if they can't come up with $30 a year.

Not my idea but I wish it was.

the first one sent me an email to see when i could send the carbs and i had to apologise and say id sold em,,
no grief ,just a thanks anyway and hed keep lookin ( ta for that mate i was feelin a bit guilty)
my point is u dont have to hang onto stuff for ever ,if the the bloke is genuine he should understand or get get back to ya ,a deal is a two way street

theres comments being made here that I agree with and some I dont and if things keep up it's all going to go to shit and other people who visit are going to see it as well whether paying members or not - this site was about a common interest not individuals

financial membership wasn't in topic at the start if I recall correctly however having said that a donation of any kind whether 2 bucks or 30 bucks is to keep this site up and running so we can share our primary passion - bikes - as the comments been made at roughly $2.50 a month is not even half a middy at the pub - a can of coke costs you roughly that these days

all in all I've had good dealings and a whole lot of laughs with most people I've become associated with thru this site and it would be a shame to see it become a shithole (no offence intended Si)

tolerance

willingness to accept behaviour and beliefs which are different from your own, although you might not agree with or approve of them

patience

the ability to wait, or to continue doing something despite difficulties, or to suffer without complaining or becoming annoyed

Two qualities that need to be practiced more often on this site.

New people means new ideas. Just because they don't fit onto your cool wall doesn't mean they are fuckwits. You must make friends real easy......;)

IMO the main issue with a long standing forum is the older members (or the one's with no lives that spend alot of time by themselves on a fucking computer) don't respond well to change and periodically crack the shits. People take a while to fit in, have enough respect and give them a chance.

Anyway,

If there is to be a section for this wall of shame it needs to be strongly moderated to ensure fairness and each individual story/situation would need to be assessed to ensure the wrong people weren't getting rodgered. Who the fuck has time to sit down and mediate?

The issue of people not contacting someone quickly enough because seller x needs the money yesterday is again imo a non event. Where there time frames agreed to initially and then they have been ignored? Yes - there is a case. No - get over it and sell to someone else. If you need the money set guidelines immediately or everything is open to interpretation which is hugely different between people.

Remember with the internet you are dealing with strangers. Having a bit of crack on line does not make you mates or the fact that they are cool enough to have/want a streetfighter make them trustworthy.

A bit of common dog fuck gentlemen please
:)

Rather than a wall of shame wouldn't we be better off having the opposite? As in people that you have done deals with and were good to deal with.

Wouldn't need to be another endless thread of drivel, Mod's could delete all
the useless steam of banter, just post up a name and a few words to say what/how.
Sure its open to abuse from Mates praising Mates even if they're tosser's but on
the whole the Ebay feedback system works, even if its only good feedback.
I've bought off two stangers on here and would be happy to recommend them.

Personally I do`nt think the site should have anything to do with naming and shaming or any points system for good traders at all,
No way.

Because the whole site will become bogged down with people making claims and counter claims and the admin will waste shed loads of times sorting out "he said this, she said that" etc etc ad infintitum.
You could be in a potential litigation situation by posting damaging statements about someone or their company when the situation isnt fully clear or known.

People should sort their own problems out with what they sell or buy with the other person.

Their is a lot of danger in this and really seriously best to be avoided. Otherwise major agro will ensue !

My ten bobs worth ;) Listen up :)

Works quite well on another bike forum I am a member of but they use a system called Karma if someone adds to the thread saying that there was a good deal made with X, X gets a karma point which goes next to his Avatar. I am not suggesting anything like that is done for this site as it is a bit of a logistical nightmare for the administrator/s and there are a lot more people on this forum than that one.

HOS if there was a system where you only spoke about deals that went well then how could this end up in litigation or he said this she said that scenarioes?
