quick question reguarding painting fibreglass shit

gday folks,

just wondering how to start off painting fibreglass parts (ie.. 666 front fender) its for the gelcoat on there.. so do i just scuff that back, primer it then paint?? or just scuff the gelcoat and then paint? (since the gelcoat is white it would make the right base coat for the yellow paint)

You need to etch prime any gelcoat for best adhesion Joe.
