In the ideal world I would like a battery up to 280mm wide, 100 high and 50-75 wide...12v min 14ah.
Any ideas where I can look ?

take a tape measure to supercheap auto, they have a bit of a bike battery range these days and seem to be cheaper than bike shops, or you can buy cheaper again on e-bay.

Sells them gell cell things you can run anyway except upside down, long shelf life and great prices.

Bit of an Odd shape, short, thin and wide.

Standard B12 Battery is 150-wide, 130-tall but 85 thick (but dont trust my measuring)
I've used them on a couple of bikes.
If you stick to O/E they are Jelly-filled and will work quite happy
for years lay on their sides in tail units or belly-pan's.

Thanks for the answers guys...All sorted now.
Odyssey PC545 $220 delivered from Extreme Batteries, Vic.
177mm long,85mm wide & 130mm high. Just fits with 6mm clearance on the s/arm. I used a piece of bar that was 10mm shorter than the min compressed length of the shock so there should be loadsa room.
