Depends how much $$$ ur intending to spend on it mate! Factor in the cost of repairs/the cost of 'fighter parts & also resale value...

Im Thinking of using the insurance money to buy a new one, and then just purchase the wreck and fork out money from my own pocket. Probably looking to spend around 1500 dollars in the next year.

G'day mate...
First question...why the 125 ?
If you're on L's or P's why not get something a bit bigger ?
Sure there's loads of bike you could ride...
Use the insurance payout to buy a good 2nd hand bike...
I'm just thinking about the resale...Obviously you won't be on a 125 forever.....

not really worth the effort doing anything good on something that cheap / gutless. save the money for the next bike

Do it, but cheap just enough to get it on the road, like in the "Olden Days"

im sorry but the cbr while has good go for a 125,
Its a time wasting shitbox, get a 250.
I rode one around for over a week wanted to torch it by the end of it.
Plus add the $400 viv fee and its uneconomical.

If the subframe / tail is still OK it would make a good tail conversion for a larger fighter. I like how the tail is nice and slim on the little CBR.

CBR125's are DANGEROUSLY SLOW in my opinion....

Say goodbye to the wreck and put the cash toward a second hand 250 mate....

Why waste a frame and motor, go for the max, enough room for cr 250 motor, underslung chamber, pod and big carb and just a "touch" of porting then yo ho ho and go. Then down the tracks bigger and better front and rear ends
