Yeah u have to wait till ya have 10 posts before ya can do that mate, make sure you introduce yaself and the like, ( i.e, what bikes ya own, a bit about yaself, etc...) cause the blokes and chicks around here get a bit cranky around here if ya dont.

No worries guys
Names Nat. Been riding for almost 10 years, last few bikes were an SV1000s then a fightered yzf600 with wide bars, got hit by a chrisler voyager as he was turning into his driveway across my path :(
So its been a year since then, my body's back to workin order and I picked up a zzr250 for $500 and want to get out to the track on the cheap. Not trying to set lap records (obyiously with a zzr) I figure every one needs some one to pass so I can be that guy :)
I bought a zzr 250 for $500
Sold the busted fairings for $200
Got a home made exhaust, dynojet stage 3 kit, Pod filters, pegs and leavers off ebay for $125 ($150 inc postage)
New cam chain tensioner supplyed and fitted by the amazing Lloyd Penn $125
Made my self some frame sliders at a mates work shop $0
Made a battery box out of sheet metal $0
All up so far $575 thats a budget worth grinning about :)
Just have to sort an oil leak and a few odds and ends and she'll be ready. Its bloody loud and bloody ugly :)

Well at least he did it all in one topic: that's a first. Pisses me off when they do it over 10 different ones.

G'day EndCredits, I'm new here too, but I do have a set of clip-ons in a box somewhere that *might* be 40mm. I'll have a hunt for them tomorrow night.
Cool little project! My first roadbike was a ZZR250 (bought new, I put 35000km in 12 months and traded it on my current VFR), and when I was in Sydney Lloyd Penn was the man I used to take my bike to. Good to hear you are getting on top of the effects of that crash.
