wasnt about the money tony, it was a stand against another x factor manufactured record having the christmas number one slot again I think it would have been the fifth year in a row or sixth, anyhow both cowells record lable and ratm's label are owned by sony.

Good thing came out of it is ratm are doing a free concert here in the uk in 2010 to say thanks to the fans and a good chunk of the money they made out of killin in the name of getting to number 1 is being donated by ratm to the shelter charity too. So it's all good and one in the eye for x factor
