? Is tht your master plan?[:p]

Just to add to this topic, here is my amazing well planned attack at the Island:

The last I heard Dave was that my brother (who still lives in Gloucestershire - Cheltenham to be exact) had booked us two walk on Ferry tickets which Steam packet had released without a price tag until after Christmas! So anyway, at the moment we are walking onto the Island and I'll meet up with some old mates (and some new from ASF) and then it's just see what happens. I think we'll have a tent on our backs but fuck knows where we'll put it? Any suggestions are welcome! It's been 10 years since I was last there and that time we had B&B sorted, and Jarrod 'Jack' Frost tried to talk me into being his stunt dummy for his show which I kindly declined.

By the way, FIGHTERMC (Frank) has also said he'll be there, but then again, he lives close enough to swim there.

Did ye sort out somewhere to stay while ye are there
cos most of the places are booked out,if ye need
campings sites or homestays have a look on the tt web site
[www.iomtt.com]also my mate will have a van with him if anybody
needs to get there gear from the ferry to where ever ye are staying.
closer to the date you can let me know if you need a hand.

I was going to take a van onto the island and do my own thing...but it looks like there's no ferries around the dates I want so I'll be tagging along with Si for a few days. :D

Yeah I know, but I'm like those ex-smokers, more than willing to have a go at those still smoking.

Believe it or not but I'm actually 30 k's lighter than I was back in the 90's. I used to look like Hermann Goering's fat brother.

Did you have to book the amount of tents you were bringing or the area you are pitching them on Frank? Are you getting my drift?

FIGHTERMC

I've heard that the usual campsites are gonna be chocker so there's going to be some temporary sites added, although I'm not sure where.. I'll ask my sister over Xmas (she lives in the Island).
The Blackberry Lane site usually has some lively evening entertainment courtesy of the Irish contingent but I can't comment on the site quality.
QuarterBridge site alwys used to be okay, and the site at the back of the grandstand will be way, way too busy, Probably booked solid already anyway.
Also a site at Hillberry, about 2 miles outside of Douglas (actually bout 4 miles from Bushy's beer tent)which is okay, lots of Germans and massive queues for showers, but nice and close for racing...
And that's about it as far as Douglas is concerned, you'll need transport for any other sites I know of. I'll update later...

The campsite at the back of the grand stand is no more i'm afraid
as it was the one we used to stay in.

Since when?
One was closed when the funfair went up there, but there's still the racers' campsite behind the grandstand, and the campsite at the back of Nobel's Park? On the golf course (well, pitch & putt course) that's due to the there this year innit?

No MDM its gone for the last 2 years
it was funded by the isle of man goverment and
the tourism board and the goverment pulled out there funding
so they just closed it.a shame as it was close to everything.
