Hi guys/girls,

My 1125CR headlight FINALLY came in, so did some mockups last night of 2 different positions, down low and up high. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, these being:

Down low:

-Can't use original clocks
-Steering damper will might foul on the light, so I may have to mount it out from the forks a bit
-Not as much wind protection
-Looks way cool

Up High

-Can use original clocks (I really like a big, white analogue tacho)
-Steering damper should mount in behind ok
-Looks like 'the turtle is poking it's head up' according to a mate

So how about some feedback from you guys/girls?

Sorry about the pics, don't have a rear wheel (waiting on the GSXR kit) so couldn't wheel it outside, and it's a bit cramped in that room with the other 3 bikes...

Cheers, J

I rekon it's gonna look fuck off awesome ethier way bud, so i'd probly go higher so you can keep the standard clocks

I like the lower mount from a style perspective, but it seems to fit better against the top triple when it's up higher.

Are you going to kick up the tail? It looks a bit lonely way down there....

I reckon it looks better lower but it doesn't look bad low either so it seems worth it to keep the gauge etc. Just kick up the tail like hillsy said and it'll balance it out better.

Looks beasty either way!

Stuffed up the last pic. Now fixed...

Not sure which way I'll go yet, down low means I'd have to spend more money, and this was supposed to be a 'cheap build'. Anyway will probably machine up the mounts so I have plenty of options.

Thanks for the feedback guys, will post more pics when I'm closer to finishing. Once I get the rear wheel kit I may even take some from afar shots for a better perspective.

About $400, maybe a bit more. When I first ordered it I asked for the complete headlight assembly, a bit over $300 or something. When it turned up, no freaking flyscreen. So another $100 and another 2 months later... That's what I get for dealing with HD spares!

Mundy! Doing awesome mate, no not back in the gulf, in Tassie instead, slight change of pace! Good to hear you're still about mate, fuck it's been a long time since those days up the old road with Monty (is he still racing???), good times...!

Taken a bit of a break from bikes with donks, been spending my money on stupid things, like a house! Cash has dried up again for now, so bike is on hold yet again. Doing some extensions to the house (including a 7 x 5.5m garage/studio of course!) so once that's done it'll be full steam for geting this one on the road!

Drop me an email at justmund@gmail.com and catch up! Cheers, J
