Slain

thanks mate. plan is to powdercoat swinger and forks to match the frame but that will be later in the year as i want to underbrace the arm similar to a jmc and also gonna slide in 04 cbr1000rr front fork legs to the stock clamps so i can run radial brakes.

Been looking at getting those mirrors too but wasn't sure what sort of quality they will be. The Rizoma equivalents are about $100US each and these are $70US for a pair so significantly cheaper. Can you let me know what they are like when you get them?

Headlight looks good too.

BANDITROD

rob: picked htem up today and threw one on to test. i would definatly recommend them. quality is definatly as good as rizoma and the ball joints are really tight (had problems with ebay billet mirrors being loose before). for under $100 thye are a good buy.
i will post up a pic tommorow of the one on the bike

Looks awesome mate.
Where did u get the scoops covering the hole between the tank and frame from? Also what's involved in doing the front indicators? Thinking of doing the same think in my headlight but have no clue from where to start

oldskool
13-02-2010, 05:22 PM
Jules they are the same ones as in my duck tail they come form R rated on ebay easy fitment.

wackyrider:check your post mate, i got the indicators on ebay. the ram air scoops are from gemo fighters in germany

thought i would update this build. its very slowly coming along turns out when i had my stack last year that i folded the cartlidge in my knee back on itself so ive just had a full knee reconstruction so i cant really do a whole lot on the bike as i can barely walk and wont be able to for a couple of months. my headlight finally turned up and for brackets i am gonna knock up some chunky fork shrouds rather than the usual fork clamps and then i can powdercoat my front end black without having to strip the forks down.
since i wont be able to ride until the end of the year im gonna go to town on the bike and when i physically can im gonna drop the motor out and paint it and powdercoat the swingarm and frame. also half way through moulding in the ram air scoops into the tank so they will be one piece with the tank.
will post up pictures in the next couple of days.
also just bought a new compressor so since i cant really move much im gonna have a chop at airbrushing so hopefully i can do the graphics myself.

Mate, that is looking awsome, and that lamp was always ment to be there. What happened to the suxy intakes with the LED indicators, that was a moment of devine inspiration on your part. [8D]

Slain
30-03-2010, 03:58 PM
still there mate, im molding them into the tank so they are one piece with no joins. but to do it it has to be fairly strong and i have to cut a couple of mounting tabs off the frame so it will be a work in progress. also deciding if i drop a small dash into the tank while im hacking it up instead of stock clocks on top of the triple

CBRRRT
31-03-2010, 07:32 AM
You got to do it mate, I wish I had.

31-03-2010, 09:02 AM
Yeah... like it. Without pissing on your chips, is the headlight unit staying or have you plans? Think it would look loads better with something a bit different to doms and flyscreen.
