Ok, in between the other builds i have on i have been tinkering on my old zepher 550 formally known as stuntpig in order to bring it up to a roadworthy state to relicence as a spare bike/project for Tan.
This morning i decided to chip the body filler off the tank.. now i knew the previous owner was a stupid fucking twat and to be fair im not even sure if this is his work (although i wouldnt put it past him as he once armouralled the tyres) but who ever did do this is quite clearly a stupid fucking twat and should have their tools taken away..

There are literally too many layers of unkown substances to tell what the fuck they did and in what order but theres everything from fibreglass to plasic bond to 15-20mm layers of bog..

What a stupid fucking twat..oh well, back to it..

How's the inside? My guess is it would be rusty, with about half a litre of putrid fuel in it.

Yeh, the effort they went to in making the lines along the rear cowl match is quite distubingly good, its just a shame they used 10kg of bog..

It used to be ok when we used it as a stunta, its rusty now and the fuel went to honey.. Before i pulled the motor out i started it off another fuel tank though and she runs sweet!

Good to hear your getting better mate, ill try and pop down and see you before xmas if your at work. Aside from this horribly fucked tank i think i have all the original shit for this bike in a crate somewhere, i may need to buy or borrow a tank off you to pit pass the old girl but once its licenced ill make a new one for it on the english wheel..[}:)]
