In the past I have seen many a thread or post about what handlebars to use, so I thought I'd compile a list of all bars that I know of and any information I possibly can, I hope this helps for your build. Any Info you have to add, by all means post it up.. Alot of you guys will already know this Information but it may prove very usefull to "NEWBIES"
on the Streetfighter Scene
*There really are only 3 Bar sizes that I know of
1. standardish 22mm or 7/8th handlebars
2. 1 1/8th Bars otherwise known as "Fat Bars" "Tapered Bars" or sometimes in known in MM as 28 or 29 either way there all fat
and they will all fit fat risers of kit that are 1 1/8th in size..
3. Easton EXP 35mm Fatties which require a special Riser or Mount Kit..
all should fit and have adequite space for your standard switchgear, throttle assembly, master cylinders etc.
I have converted all prices to Australian Dollars according to Dollar value as of
8/12/2009
$1 Aus = 91 us cents
$1 Aus = 0.55 uk pounds

Renthal "789 Streetfighter" bar's.
Had them on my GSXR11, Bandit12, Hayabusa.
Cant find them here,
I get them sent out from the UK.
No VAT or GST mean's they're as cheap as local dirtbike bars
and get here in 4 or 5 days.
http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/handlebars/789-02-go-gold-streetfighter-braced.html
only downside i've ever found is if you dont like the brace,
it leaves a mark from the clamps when you remove it.
My choice of bar.

Lots of Streetbike bars tend to be around 700mm, Dirtbike 800mm.
789's are around 750mm so normaly you can get away with re-routing
the switch gear loom / choke and throttle cables. Even going from
clip-on's to Renthals on the Busa it only needed new clutch and brake
fluid lines (to be on the safe side)
They also have plenty of "straight" to take grip's, switch gear and
mastercylinder/mirror clamps that many dirtbike bar's dont.

I like to get a few K's in but have a bad arm / shoulder and get too many aches
and pain's with most bar's. Might just be that after enough years my old bones
have got used to that model of Renthal's. Done a couple of 900k+days and LOTS
of regular 600k+ rides and I have no drama with them.
Then again, i am a bit of a Luddite...LOL.

welcome to ASF redders.. i hope your going to input us on your build mate and not just use us for our infinite wisdom;)...
anyways, Renthal 789's are 7/8 or 22mm bars, factory Hornet bars should be the same, so i'd say 100% direct bolt on mate..

The renthals could be a fair bit wider so you might have to route the cables differently and at worst buy some new brake lines if you don't have any slack with the oem one's. I'm sure Gitzy is right but just bear in mind that there could be a variable or two.
And go and say hello before the big bad wolves get you :)

I'm running underswept Rizomas on my tag t2 bars and can see fuk all! Trouble is if i use anything wider, i wont be able to get in the garage door! Those ones might be ok. How does the mounting part fit to the bar?

Bit pricey but looks tastey nonetheless. Nice 4" sweep, bit long but id probably trim it down.
