Chopiesel is coming from Canberra mate, so at least you'll have another bloke leaving from Canberra with you.

18-02-2007, 11:38 AM
Cool, I'll have to arrange to catch up with Chopiesel before hand.

Looks like Fimp is coming down this way as well, so we should have a tight little pack, assuming the best of course.

If nothing else I'll at least put on a barbie/drinks for Fimp and Chop the night Fimp comes down. As well as any Mexicans coming through CBR.

At the moment there is a possible plan to meet some mexicoons (+queerlanders?) at Bathurst around lunch time on friday for a few laps and pics then a run to duboo.

If that is the case It's probably a run up Bells LOR, which isn't a bad road for a blat

Might be an idea to post up the ride as Si says though to start getting a few numbers

ozkat

Hey Large how far from where you are to Dubbo? Either the fun way or most direct?

Large
18-02-2007, 09:26 PM
About 380ish up Bells then straight through.

I think the Mad one has plans about that tho :)

I believe some of the mexicans leaving on thursday plan to meet us at Bathurst about lunchtime...so if I knew where Darling point was I'd be able to answer you.

Maybe 9ish at Mcgraths Hill/Richmond area...

You gunna ride up Frydy then Chalky?

22-02-2007, 04:07 PM
That's what I was thinking Turbo, it's only about 3-3.5 hours from here. I was gonna see if Iceman wanted to come through this way since he's leaving after 9 on Friday morning, and I don't need to leave till mid-late afternoon (what about it Ice?). What about you Turbo, what's you're plans? I was thinking about another barbie.

And yeah Frankie first beers on me mate....................the rest are on you :D

TurboKat
22-02-2007, 04:27 PM
Ain't made any firm plans yet, dunno if I'll be leaving Wed. or Thurs. If it's a Wed. leave, we'd probly be within cooee of you on the Thurs. at some stage so could arrange to meet up somewhere on the way if you're keen, be good to have another scratch too I reckon.
It's all a bit weather dependant too, you know how it goes, you don't wanna be setting lap records in the rain so might as well leave later & do the highway if it's pissing down.
We'll work it all out at Fox's after the WSBK.

22-02-2007, 05:47 PM
Maybe Wagga would be a good meeting place for Vic/ACT/Southern NSW riders to meet up. Would extend my ride, but the chance of another good fang with Turbo/Ross would be worth it [:p]

funny, I was just reading about Dr Thompsons' day in court this morning.
My favourite bit, "we will cut off their fingers, gnaw on their skulls and feed their flesh to our animals" about his unfortunate prosecutors and a $22 million lawsuit he filed against them.

22-02-2007, 08:32 PM
Who was doctor Thompson?

The prosecutor copped a bit of a serve when I was up. Trying to introduce irrelevant information.

You talkng about you or me there Frankie. I had to back off a bit going up Thunderbolt's Way last year, and let Damo past, because my rear end was flailing around so bad I though I might take him out with it :D, and that was on the Geepz

24-02-2007, 08:57 AM
Damo, shout one of the other instructors a Kings X massage parlour seesion in exchange for swapping weekends. I'd do it, either the bribing or the being bribed :D

Jockney Rebel

24-02-2007, 03:37 PM
Child bride? you been getting into those Phillipino/Russian mail order catalogues mate?

Jockney Rebel
24-02-2007, 11:16 PM
nah mate married me an aussie i rescued from a turkish taxi driver in Fulham
yep traffic is fun it used to break up the monotony of the day ..reminds me of a funny story..
we had a rider used an old cb400n .had 5 or six of the things
blew up his engine at midday on the embankment got a cab home ..got a spare engine out of his shed stuck it in the boot of the cab went back to his bike fitted it.. threw the other lump in a skip and was back on the road by 2pm
we hated him ..cos now we couldnt use the "ive got a puncture " fuk off early excuse on a fri no more

I reckon next year 2008 should be in Tumut - snowy mountains highway says it all (both scenery and corners) and its a bit closer to the mexicans

Dubbo is 1/2 way for people travelling from Vic and QLD. 90% of ASF members come from S/E QLD or Vic or Syd/Newie area. Im sorry that anyone from SA or WA or NT has to travel further but you cannot keep all the people happy all the time. I think central NSW is a fair option for everyone. Or maybe the AFR should be in Alice Springs? Then you would hardly get anyone going.

Jockney Rebel
