Sure looks like a young brown... but hard to tell without knowing where you are and where you found it

Gold coast hinterland - and its fallen into the grey water tank. fucking things are everywhere I was poking at one trying to move it off.. in typical bare feet, and its mate slithered straight between my legs, as did about 2L of liquid fear. Had a whip snake (i think) fly out at me at the new place too. things are savage and pissed off in this heat!

Anyone wanna come and get it?

That's a Yellow Faced Whip Snake mate. Venomous, but not regarded as dangerous......BUT people have differant reactions to some venoms than others. I know one bloke that got bitten by one and he was pretty fucked up by it. His mate found him in the shower shitting himself and spewing all over himself. And he is a "snake expert"(fuckwit). Under normal circumstances it probably wouldn't have had servere symptoms, but he has been bitten by quite a few venomous snakes in his short time and his body is pretty screwed up. In a way it can be sort of like bee stings- some people get a bump that itches, others are dead within the minute.

The best advice I can give is treat them all as venomous.

I get quite a few callouts from people mis-identifying them as browns, Taipans etc etc.
