Recently I picked up the latest issue of Super Streetbike for my custom bike fix and what do I see, my favorite Fightered Bike the CBR 900, decked out with a Gatling Gun Tail Pipe and few other trick pieces. Not a bad effort I reckon!!

Wonder what the performance of those pipes is like though?

I'd like to see one in the flesh though

PS Funnily enough the magazine link had an artice on 'all about chroming',
very strange to see that in an American mag eh[8D]

have u seen the little led rego plate lights that double for mounting bolts

09-12-2006, 11:15 AM
They're just like the idiot lights on my riser plate.

High output LED's (Red, Green, Blue), slotted into 6mm holes. Can't get more minimalist and actually have idiot lights. :D

All I have for a dash is a temp guage in a chrome holder, and a bicycle speedo, hidden behind the Brake reservoir.

wicked im told u have to put a resistor in line so that they dont get fried I could do with a digi speedo with BIG f...off nos coz im feckin blind as... close up
and dont like wearin me glasses while im ridin but im also tight {bein a jock]and dont wanna pay the earth for some of the nice layouts ive seen lately

I bought the LED's new, but the resistors I pulled out of old monitor boards. Couldn't get the right ratings in compact form otherwise.I'l post a pic of the riser plate today sometime.

Fuuny you should bring that bike up. I got an email from Motocyco Girl this weekend:

"HELLO!

I’ve been familiar with your online community for awhile now, & wished to drop you a line to introduce myself & our company to you. The site is great BTW!

My husband Dave Begotka, & I run Motocyco which we started a little over a year ago.

We design & make aftermarket parts & accessories for bikes inspired by the fighter style. Additionally, we build custom fighters & do all that we can to promote the custom motorcycle scene & this wild style.

I have attached a few pictures of some of our original designs & I welcome you to visit our website (www.begotka.com) where you can see more.

Thanks & have a wonderful Day!
Motocyco Girl!"

Love the "comprehensive instrumentation" on the Geep Chalk, does it have a/f ratio & data logging? :D:D:D

11-12-2006, 03:24 PM
My head logs all the necessary data mate, ie don't go back to that place the cops won't forget for a while.[8D]

And the air fuel ratio is determined by how hard the bitch pulls, if it's fun bordering on uncontrollable wheelies and still tops 245 then the a/f is about right.;)

Rev counters are for newbies:), fuel guages are for broken reserve taps[xx(], volt meters are for "Dick Smith" geeks[:o)].

And let's face it even speedo's are for speed camera's (If you remember that you're in a speed camera zone [8)]) and trailing coppers:D. I mean whoever actually checks their speedo as they're punting hard into a corner [?]

Riding by the seat of yer pants, and the scrape of yer knee is what it's all about.[^][:p]

Actually I have been thinking about making up a temp guage using LED's in the dash to indicate Cold (Blue), warm (Green), very warm (Orange), oops she's cookin' (Red), but haven't been able to find a 4 color LED yet. might have to settle for 2 LED's, with different colors, spanning the temp over 2 of them, just have to make up the circuit board to run it.
