More musings on dash's: I've got the AIM Mychron3 on my racebike and it's great for that use (full datalogging on revs, temp and laps) but would be no good as a road dash. If you get the Gold or MXL models which can pickup speed etc you've got full overkill for the road (suspension travel, gyro mapping of tracks etc).

The point I think I'm trying to make is that the requirements for a dash for road and race are very different. For a race dash you end up paying a lot for features you don't need and often have to cobble together the basics you need using analogue inputs etc. Not too hard but it's nicer to have it work out of the box

digital speedo and data loggers for street bikes [8D]

Tbh the Busa speedo is unreadable with so many graduations from 0 to 200mph over an arc of say 330 degrees. All compacted into a 3" or less ? diameter dial. I want my eyes on the road 99.9% of the time with the do or die cagers out there, not wondering if I am doing 65 mph in a 60 limit when I see a cop or mobile camera.

When I am on the road I do`nt want to be struggling to see if I am doing 30 or 40mph with a wobbly needle 1mm to the left or right. Even 5 mph over the limit will get you a ticket and on your way to a ban.

Its something the bike manufacturers need to get sorted for safe riding.... making bike speedo`s bloody legible !!!! :D

These big easy to read digi displays help you check your speed in town or open highway without struggling to see where that needle is :)

Safety is a key issue with making sure its easy to read that oh so important speedo ;)

The flip side to that is I find the digital bar tacho's unreadable in the heat of the moment. I had to supplement the mychron with a (rather excellent and Australian made) ishift shift lights as I couldn't see it for shit in racing conditions
