here we go... An'87 gsxr 1100, standard '98 model R1 battery...
My first batery lasted about 4 years, standard instruments, switchgear, shitty aftermarket lights. No problems.
New headlight, digital dash, keyless ignition (like on the judge, but not remote start.),electronic push button switchgear. The dash has a voltmeter, it was reading between 13.8 and 14 volts on my 10min ride. I've done maybe 30k's on the bike (private roads, o'course), and the 3rd battery is leaking all ready, like the 2nd one.
Any ideas? (apart from buy a kawaski, honda, yamaha, vespa, etc.)

Had the exact same problem on a customers Sportster last year. They had the bike checked over by P&L at Toongabbie for electrical problems, had a new battery installed and had it cook within a week. P&L just replaced the battery. A simple check by me with a multimeter found it was charging 18 volts and therefore the regulator was shot. An hours work and $250 worth of parts had it running well. Poor bugger.
