Don't they have that LAMS scheme going in Queerland?

Yeah Large I thought that to but then have you got your full
car licence because I am sure that with your bike license gives
you the option of a bigger bike with restricted Kw.
But please correct me if I am wrong.

Frankenbiker. The staright swap licence thing stopped before I even got here back in '97. I had to take my car and bike test again. That's where I discovered the tricl to getting it done in a country town! Car test took 1 minute of driving and 25 minutes of talking about England, and the bike test took me 5 minutes to ride round the block while the examiner did some sketches on his clip board.

Anyway, Skifledanabit, are you on your L's, P's or do you have your full licence? I notice you're on the Coast as well. I might be able to help you as I work on Lawrence Drive.

When I first got my Ls (84-85 ish) you could ride any size bike...and if you got pinged for speeding etc, the points didn't transfer to your car license...needless to say GSXRs/Katanas/z900s/CB1100r etc were recognized as "the" learner bike to have:D

Then in 1990 after they changed the rules, I was going for my Ps on my mighty 250X7 and I was at the counter watching a discussion between an ex Hong Kong native and her tester, who had just failed her for several infringements like failing to give way/indicate/stop at stop sign and the bitch was going off about how she'd driven for years and never hit anyone (that she'd seen) and he was being racist yada yada.

The best part was...she had driven up to the registry...but wasn't allowed to drive home.:D

my first wheels was a suzi across .. great bike cause you can get a slab of cans in the helmut holder .. not a rocket comparied to an rgv /cbr/etc but great bike non the less .. but if i was to have to get a 250 agian it would have to be a motard no if's or but's its the way forward

ok, i only just passed my CBT back home so thats why i didnt have a full license, i also didnt have the money to buy a bike, there would have been no point in buying one just before i came out here and even that would have been a shit 125cc, so i thought, practise out here, get back and do the full test pass, come back after a while for my second year and tour... also, im on a budget, wont stretch to an RS250 so screwed there, ive been thinking of a bandit, but im not sure, the GPX has taken my eye... its getting really confusing, im in two minds about getting a bike or just getting a car, bike will be more fun but car is more practical... argh, i really want a bike though

I was toying with the idea of buying an old 250, GSX or something, and then wacking a supercharger from an 800cc Subaru car on it!! silly thing to do, but a great conversion piece!
What about those Honda 250RR or something, they seem to get along ok!
Cheers
