Hi all. I am thinking of buying a Low Ks Buell CR1125. Rode and loved the bike but would like to know if anyone has heard of any problems these bikes have. Roman:)

I've heard that this is their biggest problem:

The Clubman bars are shit.

Their biggest problem is the harley dealerships. Some superbike shootout recently unanimously decided it was better than the tuono or the duc streetfighter.

I'll find it when I am not on my phone.

Yes I must agree with the Clubman bars being sheit. They were better to ride with than I thought but they do look wrong. Something from a bygone era. Odd to see someting so old style on a bike that has so many ahead of its time features. I will get the higher bar option fitted should I buy one. The one thing I felt was not ideal on the CR was at a constant throttle around 60KLM's the engine felt like it was not settled. ie. it wanted be either on or off the gas. The engine would make a clattering noise when ridden like this. Its not impossible to live with but it is there. Has anyone else experienced this? I am trying to gauge what is normal and what is not. The bike is an Ex Harlie Australia executive bike what ever that is. Regards Roman.

Welcome buddy. Buell eh? From what ive seen, an overall decent build quality, but personally i find the XB series looks hornier. Dont stress about the bars, noting a set of risers and that old KTM dirtbike cant fix. Welcome to the madness, and these fellas are excellent when it comes to info

For the benifit of Mr Cruise Control. This motor has been developed by Rotax. They are an Austrian compant that have been in the business of manufacturing engines for as long as engines have been around. They powered many 2 stroke GP bikes in the 70s and 80s and were the first to use the rotary inlet valve which made them unbeatable. They were then copied by many. They are used by Aprilia and also by many light aircraft manufacturers. Given the Germanic nature of the company would make it well thought out. I believe this motor has been reliably pushed out to 200hp but could not pass emmission regs... but will at 180HP. Bang for your buck....how do you beat it. There is nothing Harly about this bike....Romano

Sounds like a mapping issue. I didn't notice when I rode it but I was hammering around the whole time.

It would have been prepped and run in really well.

Most of it's issues are fuelling related but there has also been some wiring harness issues and sensor reliability problems.
