Battery mounting.

I am having trouble working out where to put my battery...
Can I fit one of the sealed gel type in the shock space on my R1 s/arm ?
It will be right up close to the pivot point so the leads won't flex too much. The earth could even go to the s/arm, and from there to the frame.
I can't see it being any worse than a battery on a hardtailed chop and they seem to be ok..
It would solve the problem and get the weight down low.

Cant see why not. Worst case scenario is the extra vibration might shorten the battery life, but you'll never know if you don't try it.

Go for it mate dont go any smaller than a 12 tho those older motors need the crankin amps.

If you can, rubber mount your battery box, that should help with batt life. And ,mounting it as low as you can has to be good for C of G.
