Ahh it's Friday night and I need a laugh, maybe some others out there want to chuckle too? So I am selling my RGV250. It's on eBay and Gumtree. You just know there are going to be stupid offers when you sell a bike...

First guy sees that it was photographed on a race stand and wants to buy it. I say sure, the stand costs $4,300 and comes with a free bike! Waiting for a response on that one.

Second guy emails me with an offer of $2,000, which I politely refused. Here's the emails so far:

--------------------------------------------------------------
From: allblues@optusnet.com.au

would you take $2000 cash?

You can respond to "allblues@optusnet.com.au" by replying to this email.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Offering less than half the asking price? Fighting the urge not to tell him to eff off, my response:

Yeah sure. Can I have it in unmarked low denomination bills?

To which he replies:

--------------------------------------------------------------
From: allblues@optusnet.com.au

Mate I have the cash.
If you are going to be a fuckwit dont worry I will buy some other bike.
It is old & the ks are obviously bullshit.
Are you expecting to get the value of it when they were new.
What a fuckwit.

You can respond to "allblues@optusnet.com.au" by replying to this email.
--------------------------------------------------------------

And my latest response:

Cheers mate. I had a good laugh at that. C'mon, write another one...

So I am hoping to get another one off old mate, and I'll share it with you lot when I do. Cause this guy cracked me up :D

Red, Ive been watching a few RGV's on fleabay for a track project, and yours is a very nice looking machine! If its the one with polished wheel rims and a decent paint job.

hahaha, but to be honest the used bike market is fucked at the moment. people think residual value on a 10 year old bike is 6 grand? ha
not bad when you're the seller (i just MADE money on R6 i had for 4 years) but now looking for a track bike it's fucked.
6-7 grand for a 10 year old jap bike my arse

4,300 (plus rwc costs) is a lot to spend on a kick start 250
i don't understand
i see they ARE advertised for that much but why??????????????
what's the brand new price for something like this?
i sold my 2000 R6 for not much more than that price and you get a LOT more for your money
just my 2 cents
:D

It's a 2 stroke thing. If you have to ask, you will never understand.

i understand it's a 2 stroke, ive a 350 and a 500, they blow shitloads of smoke, go ting ting ting ting ting extremely loudly and do good monos =)

i guess the market is different for different genres of bikes, some are struggling and some still selling well

Yeah, a 315, HA HA HA

That's a great looking gadget.

Got a real soft spot for T250 and 350s.

Gonna have to get hold of another one.
