I say leave 'em all alone.
Cut ties with the Yanks, build a big electric fence around Australia with some nice big "Tresspassers Will Be Shot" signs.
We can drink beer all the time & let the others sort themselves out & kill each other.

We wait a few decades, when the smoke clears we clean up & kill the left overs.

But tbh the UK is no better in global shitty dealings.

Tell you summat though, I`d rather side with the Americans any time rather than the Commie States of the EU. The EU Parliament is benter than a nine bob note !!!!!!!! the only reason the yanks are in iraq and afghanistan, is so they have an extremely valuable vantage point, for when the shit goes down with Iran..and the countries they want to blow the fuck out of - which probably just so happen to be funded by the yanks.
You know what fucks ME off the most about the middle east, my mate said their roads are 100 times better than our roads! and do THEY have to pay a fucking "traffic improvement fee" on their rego.. NO.. probably have an anual "IED patch up fee" but meh...
