i just bought an L model 750
the tank and frame area around the nuts seems to get unusually hot. jsut wondering if they are all like this or is it due to the fact that it has had pods fitted?

im no soft cock im used to a bit of heat but this is unusually warm, as in it burnt me yesterday [B)]

You mean the nuts in your pants? Burning yourself on the tank in front of the seat isn't something I've heard of before. Show us a photo of the pod set up and everything in location near the seat and tank mate.

I knew the tank exiting pipes were going to cause trouble............

you should wear pants / shorts when riding .. that'll stop your nuts touching the tank for a start

I'd be a bit concerned about how hot the fuel's getting in the tank if the outside of it is burning you........It doesn't sound normal to me - must be running pretty lean to get that hot. Sounds like it hasn't been re-jetted to suit the pods. And what type of exhaust are you running?

it wont ignite. the fuel in my z1300 6 when level is low would actually boil. you could watch it when you opened the cap. its no biggie.

im not home atm so cant get pics but will post some up on sat for all to see :)

large im not posting pics of my nuts for you :p

the exhaust is an old yoshi can everything else is stock as far as i can tell other than the pods

it gets warm most days but not as hot as it was yesterday. i already thought of the running lean scenario but the way the bike is behaving i would say its running rich if anything.

it definatly hasnt been jetted to suit the pods. only just bought the bike off ebay so will be doing that asap

pretty much confirms my suspicions that its not normal
cheers guys

Running pod filters it could be that the eingine breather hose at the top of the engine which usually connects to the air box is pointing at ya nuts area.
Just a thought
