come all ya mates, Surt just has sipped some magick shrooms potion and started a new revelation on his other evil doing! well preserved and worked out was his plot, and now broken through, the

PANZERFAUST

is its name, and it is

Vergeltungswaffe V(fau)4 1200, the vengeance weapon against the hardley and the bud!!! Devil help me on the war path, provide me with molotovs cocktail and vodka galore, heya!!!

[u]Pre-history.</u>

german soldiers with panzerfausts, 1945

http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1253398235.jpg

germans developed a few models of anti-tank hand missiles named Panzerfaust, during the WWII, their indexes, from 30 to 250 meant an effective striking distance, in meters. they were charged with TNT and proppelled by a black powder rocket engine (wikie man!) But in fact, the largest Panzerfaust 250 was never accomplished before the war end, but was re-incarnated in russian RPG2 granade thrower, a top weapon, btw ;)

when i was a kid, i tried to repeat the germans research, built a few missiles, but their failures were repeated too, due to undeveloped technology :)
some missiles didnt fly, some flew in wrong direction, one of them bursted out in my hands... [xx(] hell, yeah, at least they always bursted out on glory!
the army service cured me for a while, turned into a pacifist [:0], but then i got bike'teria which made me a motor head.

[u]History. </u>

well i bought my first ural m63, 1970, in 1996. it costed me just $150, had a side car, a broken kick and a cracked right cylinder, but it rode 90 kph with all the kit, just loathsome to slow down. when i finally had got enough with pushing it to start the engine and with its natural "noble brown" colour, i fastened off the side car and fetched the bike in to my room, got already the bike' mania at the time. by the end of the summer i had 4 bikes in my metal tent, and one in my room! gradually they took my whole time, so i quit ingrriss translations (my ingrriss used to be much better, than now, after a 10 y break)and switched to repairing and modding bikes [8D] /actually i got my first motorcycle back in 1990, but was just a tyre-kicker then, well, almost; fixin it when i was able to, and asking for help from my more experienced mates, when i wasn't... and i was a dirt bike fan [:I]/
so eventually i made up my mind about how the real bike must look, a fukn wide tyre, of course ;), long and low profile, a tear drop capped head light and a tear drop tank, no odds, no fukn fringe , later i knew that i had "invented" a low rider style [:I] well, its not my fault that Arlen Ness outran me on 20 ys, wtf ness, never heard of then, loch ness maybe? [:p]
however, setting in the Fucking Wide Tyre (FWT) was the most difficult task comparing to the others, i had some ancient bikes stuff, coz a half of my bikes were antique :):1965, 1970, 1983, other two were a tad younger, but kunt remember their date of birth [8)]. having a drive shaft, the bloody boxer kunt be fitted with a tyre wider than 100mm or 4", to fit a wider one, you should widen the swing arm and the frame in general, so you'd re-do a half a bike [:0]. and, naturally, you'd have to make a new rear wheel, cos the 19" spoked stockie's no go! so i bought a bare frame and an oldie car 5.60"x15 wheel, and fetched it far across the city to a machinery plant, to mod the frame and the swinger, and to make a 'heavy metal' hub to wheel adapter. the frame was re-weld by eye, with no rack; and the adapter turned to be so fucking heavy (apr. 30 mm thick [:0]), that i realised that would never use it, so i presented it to the turner. :) and wryly re-welded frame i kept for spares... so my first experience was a total fuck-up [V]
but bike'teria were at work, itching my hands and boiling my mind, by that i had seen a car engine powered v4 bike (as well as a beetle trike, but it didnt affect me ;)) at the bike show'97. the bike impressed me heavily, and made me an "autocycle" addict since then. professionally made, it looked like it was a jap bike, not garage made. my mate was impressed by the bike too and started abetting me to build similar ones for ourselves. "thats simple, said he, i know where to obtain the engines from, and i will re-weld the frame for you, no probs!" no probs is fine, we started building, the mates ahead of me. he cut the clutch bell with an angel[}:)]grinder and made an adapter plate with it from a 3mm steel sheet: "thickest I was able to find", explained he. [:0] i went another way, stripped the engine to the bare block, and carried it to the same plant, the clutch bell and the bike gear box too. there the bell was cut off in the lathe, and a 10mm steel adapter plate was machined...
with the frame, i sacrificed my other bike for it, the mate welded a new frame (by eye, again!) from two frames, naturally it was wry, ant too big, just a mock-up frame. [:o)]
my mate quitted his project, but not me, though he was more "advanced" with bikes, and had more tools (in fact, i had nothing but old wrenches and a drill, not even an angel[}:)]grinder, not speakin' of a welder [8)])
also i worked out how to set in the car wheel without a spacing hub adapter: just turn it over, cut out the center part and weld the hub in it, just like that [^], only about finding a lathe big enough to fix the wheel, well, at the same plant across the city
then the '97-98 worlds financial crisis happened, my bikes lost 2/3 of their price, i still tried to survive as self employed, but bikes didnt sell, so had to go and find a fucking steady job, change some jobs and finally found myself where im so far...
the frame was re-welded for the second time, lowered, shortened and narrowed, by my another mate gnoose (by eye again and again!!), but his eye prooved to be better, the second variant was a tad wry as well, but ar least its steering neck was set straight. henceforth the story's saved in pictures.

as you see, the frame made from two, the brown one is a cut-off my first porno-frame re-welded at the plant
the mock-up swinger is in fact two arms without a bridge, well, it was truelly mock-up gathering, just figuring out what the bike gotta be like. the air and oil cooled engines covered with a thick layer of dust and oil, later i washed it in petrol... on the balcony

Surt

a year later: what i said, the engine is cleaned and painted, the steel adapter plate's substituted with a new alloy one, a lightened fly wheel (there were two fly wheels, car and bike ones, fixed together - a usual cheap solution), the clutch modded to a car single dampered clutch disk (there were 2 from the ural), the shortened distributor, the cooling fan removed from the alternator... making a new seat and the tanks with the dash-board

Surt

and another year later, the bikes finished, 'cept the seat. why so long? well, working out small details takes as much time as for big ones, also, had other deeds to be done, recovered my civic (bought rotten in 1999)
btw, got tools, the angel[}:)]grinder and the mig [fulcrum] welder, so the stuff was welded by my hand [^] the rear fenders ural's shortened and widened stockie

the bikes turned to be rather a bobber, kinda squat and a tad tall, due to the engine configuration and the frame made for me by gnoose. the gauges r true old skool from a moscvich 407 i used to have, 1952! and the tanks r in fact made from a single sawn tank of izh49, added the right fuel throat, the front and rear stop lights are greatly rare old ural m63's ones, chromed at my job (as well as the head covers)

... and the exhaust pipes made from cars headers, pipes and resonators found in the street. the build budget was very modest, i dont think it exceeded $300, 'cept the donor bike cost... and the engine i got for free!

Surt

the next year of 2002 i decided to run a frame building business, just like azrael now [}:)], why, having certain tools and skills, just needed a frame rack and the tube bender. made parts for them at my job (ever seen an alloy tube bender? an alloy rack?? [:p]) and for beginning, i made a totally home made frame (lie! - the neck and the arse r modded stock! ;)) said - done, the new frame has become a slim fit, lowerer, narrower, a tad longer and with a bigger rake - 30 instead of 24-26 (or fuck nose how many - never measured the previous rake), and of course, it was straght at last! but the new frame asked for more mods to the tank design - it became too wide, and to the exhaust. so i narrowed the dash-board, and made new 4-4 stainless steel straight-through pipes. so the bike was alrighty, unlike my frame building business, a total disaster, no demand, the rich r buying jap or american, the poor r sucking. fuck the ways of life!

well, the rest of the story.
so the bike was re-done and riden though some shortages left: after the bonnet was narrowed, i didnt finished it with a filler and a new paint, hated to do that, also didnt welded tips on exhaust pipes, to make 'em of the same length, so rode it just as it was. and in the summer of 2005 i fetched the bike to my fukn ex-inlaws cunt'ry chicken an' bees station :D

Surt
26-09-2009, 06:36 AM
as you can see, the bike was chromed, i mean the forks, shocks, covers and small trifles
also it got new handle bars from stainless steel, which i welded straight into the top yoke. btw, never seen such a design, so considered as my own and named it 'the goat horns' [}:)]

http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1253925226.jpg

btw the crosses on the head covers gave the name to the bike: in the beginning, when i had no access to the chrome, i was about to do without it, just paint the bike and make the wehrmacht crosses on the covers, so came the name
and a special remark for tony 0w31, it has a damper, though i of never used it, the handle bars are wide and rake is 30 degs + 3.5 degs offset in yokes, the long wheel base and the low center of mass [:P]

the bloody wiring wasnt finished also, no turn signals were fitted, though i had ones sorted out, the old skool ones as well, souvenirs from czechoslovakia, now splitted, fron ones from the old jawa, and the rear ones from... an old czech tram [:0]

[u]The end of story by the present.</u>

so when i came to the Naglfars build, had no more time for ride out, so the fau 4 (fuck i love the name more and more!) had been peacefully sleeping in her lair, until my family collapsed due to the mad fucker (not me, however, :D my wifes daddy :(), so i had to pick up my swag packed as tight as possible (meaning the ute [8D]) and get the fuck-out to moss cow, luckily just bought a shed by the time.
during the flee the paint severely suffered, even the metal itself was crapmled in spots, so a new merry go round with a paint gun and a compressor was ahead of me [xx(]... stuck it in for clearness, finishing the Naglfars stage one :)
only in this summer now gone [V] , being on leave anf finished with the Naglfars rolling chassis, i came up to my old, first big project. mates it was like sinking 8 ys back [:0] a fucking nostalgia for everything now gone or changed.

yup the tyre a tad narrow for the fender of that width, couldnt of help with it, to fit the 5.60x15 tyre was to widen the swinger and frame for 40mm, and 40mm were exatctly necessary to let in a new v4 engine instead of the old b2, the occult bike building has begun with the bike, however! [:0]

d'u mean the arse face mate? the bastard of vw kafer and fiat 500?? [:o)] it has the same front suspense as vw kafer/bettle/bug, thus shitty steering, but also it can drive across freshly ploughed field due to the weight ratio (its engine is set behind) there also was a military "front line transporter" made on its base, 4x4, demultiplicator, differential blockings, in-hub wheel drives, it has a better cross-country capacity than hummer h1, cos its very light. a cult automobile, fan clubs in many countries, ie germany, france.
i used to have one (actually the bigger oil rad comes from it), and sold it 2 ys ago... as much fun as atv [8D] but more over there were a swimming modification of the transporter

heres the wiki link:

here r pics borrowed there ;)

bore 76, stroke 66, cr 7.2, 40 nominal bhp
