Yeah woulda lived. Probably wouldn't have had much jaw movement though. And mostly blind. And obviously not much face left.

Although he may have died of sepsis or shock, thats a pretty massive wound and would be ALOT for his body to handle. Or died when he was under.

I know a woman who had a similar thing happen after she got kicked in the face by a horse. They did some incredible things with surgery. Not back to normal but i would say 70%. The doctors said your face can actually act like a crumple zone and absorb alot of damage.

Yeah open face helmets never made sense to me, ever since I was old enough to stack my bmx like a retard... I NEVER landed on the top of my head, which a stackhat would probably help with.. always face first in the dirt... got the ripped up chin to prove it.

First gore filled vid I ever saw was of the full face helmeted rider being levered out of a chain link fence cause he hit the pole dead on with the middle of his head, was like a half squashed smartie.

pretty hectic wound for what he did it seems like I'v seen much worse things end much better, did he land on the corner of the concrete???
