Due to a significant increase in the costs imposed on us by Willowbank Raceway it is with regret that we have decided that it is uneconomical to continue with the Superbike Supply Shootouts.

We thank everyone that has participated in these events and to Willowbank Raceway for allowing the events to occur.

Way to go Willowbank...encouraging people to get involved....
They must be a bunch of f#*kwits not to see...no-one getting into racing to replace those that leave = no willowbank :(

ah fark, I was planning on going to one soon.

Real shame and a great loss.

C'mon everyone, lets go race on the streets instead!!!

That's pretty fucked alright.
I wouldn't be blaming the track too much, they are probably the most bike friendly track in the country.

There's a lot more to it than has been stated.:(

Easy solution. Take those extended swingarms and lowering kits off and ride around a proper track that has corners. Something challenging for a change.

What are you talking about Rick?????

The reason Superbike Supply, Motoaus and Cyanide Racing are no longer involved with the Shootouts is exactly the reason stated in the first post, "Significant increase in costs". Inspite of the rumours going round, we never earned a dime from them, it was all at our expense. I see you havent commented on the increase in entry costs and the reduction in time for the events!!

Why don't you ask Willowbank who the new Sponsor will most likely be?? I think you will be less than happy!!!

im guessing they are doing as the tintops have threatened to leave if they dont improve the facilities.... which in turn have to be paid by someone

Do the new sponsors sound like Morgan the Wanker? ;)

Shayne take a chill pill.
I wasn't having a go at you personally.

I hadn't heard any rumours about who made what but there were & are plenty about "the incident" at the last shootout.

OK, so the costs have gone up from $48 to $50.
Shit, that's gunna break the bank, oh, & they've shortened the time by 15 minutes.
Used to be gates open at 12.30, on track from 1.00pm.
It's now gates open at 1.00pm, on track from 1.15pm.
As for being "less than happy" with who the new sponsor will most likely be, i think not, even though i have no idea who it may be if they are prepaired to have a crack then so be it.

What the hell is the big deal & why the scare mongering with the title of the thread?

Little Large, wrong track, the one you're thinking about is next door & has nothing to do with this one.

Des, you may be right but that won't make me at all unhappy.
Marks money is as good as anyones & he pours a lot of it in to our sport.

I don't care who puts the money up, just glad we get track time and the shoot outs continue.
Good on em if it is Morgan and Wacker, they put their money where there mouth is.

Hearing that there maybe some real racing at these events in the future, looking forward to that also.
