Like Ice said get yourself some longer cables
You might want to also ether get some higher risers or make up some spacers to go under them so you can get the fork legs back were they should be

Yep ya need taller risers, take the bars off raise the forks back to where ya want em THEN measure up to the bottom of the bars to get the height.

look on ebay ya can get cheap risers that will go on the top of the ones you have fitted and should get things back to normal with the forks.

probably will need to get longer brake hoses then just reroute the cables to work with the flat bars.

sometimes shit just doesn't "bolt" together!

what efe said was right.ya need longer risers or extensions. you'll proly pay about $40 from a bike shop for em. do you still have the box they came in? the shop might exchange em for longer risers maybe.

if ya can swap em for taller ones would be better than the add on riser.

Not sure about any one local to you, but give Ben or Pete a call at Extreme Creations http://www.extremecreations.com.au/contact.asp
They should be able to help you with risers. Tell them you are a member and I'm pretty sure they'll give you a discount also.
