Fuck Watto, since you've posted your triple on here, I'm seeing those triples everywhere, just rode from Botany to Paddington (Where all the beautiful people live) and saw four brand new triples all Black.

There's a nice black one near me (inner west syd) with some carbon parts (screen, etc).. they're so hot in person.

ive seen 1 in the past like 6 months, it was green with steel coming through the tyres straight down the middle and blowing black smoke behind it

im thinking whether or not to remove the 'triumph' tank vinyl and the speed triple ones on the back.. (just called to find out a price on a replacement sticker pack but waiting for an answer)

Here you go mate, try before you buy and all that.....

I would personally leave them on, or replace it with something custom (preferred). Just plain paint always makes me think of a rushed respray.

Leave them on if they compliment the paint. It's a balance between interesting detail and an ugly montage. Minimal is the best way to approach, I reckon.

You can also use stickers to draw attention to a particular area or accentuate a part.
Stickers angled the right way can also accentuate lines of the bike.
Stickers can also add verbal attitude to a bike.

Think outside the square too - you don't have to use a whole sticker:
Cut out the letters of a sticker and make up your own words or logo.

Actually, the more I think about this, the more it becomes in interesting topic:

Helmets are the perfect example - some of the artwork on helmets are so intricate and complex that they look crap at the usual distance on the road. Yet, some of the simple designs look crap up close but great on the road. Most of them look way too busy to me.

I reckon when it comes to paintwork on a bike, look at the bike from a distance to work out a paint scheme with basic colours and accentuating the right lines of the bike, then think about little highlights or details for up close - this is where stickers can help.

It is art, after-all and whatever rules there are can be broken. You just have to work out or find the key. :D

fuck how true is that. Coming back from Canberra it just looks like one hilarious practical joke on them all!

On topic, good call on checking how much new ones are. I'd be inclined to leave them although Si's pic does look pretty good.

center tank decal (speed triple 1050) $71.38
side tank decal (triumph) $84.62 (per side)
tail decal (speed triple) $84.38 (per side)

so $409.38 for the set, or if that figures to high to comprehend, the equivalent of a big fucking waste of cash

Fuckin' how much!!!

Write down this link and download the artwork: http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/search/106014599/113242.html

Take it to your local sticker joint and they'll be able to knock them out for about $40. Fucking $400! Geez....

This post has really got me thinking, and now I'm seriously contemplating getting some stickers made up for my ZX9R to accentuate the beauty of a Kawasaki street fighter.

i pulled a decal off the middle of the tank, they apply the decals, then put the matt finish over the bike so when i started pulling it of.... ohhhh fuck, gloss finish underneath, had to get my sign writer to knock something up.
