We sell the big bike hoists aswell. they are like the ones the bike shops use that clamp the front wheel. they are air/hyd.

havn't got any specs on them as the supplier dosn't have a website.

like davo said $500 should pull them up easily.

the above pic is for a dirt bikes mostly.

Thats the sort, but will need one specifically for Buells, couple of US companies / websites have them, but looking for an Aussie dealer
padock stands also look feasable... and easy to fabricate...

I just ordered an air/hydraulic bike ramp today actually.
This is the big ramp with the front wheel clamp and will take 570kgs. (so that's me, my Malvern Star AND my girlfreind) you can either use air or a foot hydraulic pump thing. Cost is $435 plus shipping so it might be the same one Davo is talking about (made in china).
Just like in the bike shop workshops.
It's from Williamstown Central Motors (Vic) and the contact is Brian Patterson 0411 889 840 and they ship anywhere.
I got the ad from Just Bikes magazine, hopefully the quality is okay.
Brian did say that you need a decent air compressor to run it or it will not operate smoothly. So if you have a $100 Supercheap Auto's jobbie, then maybe just go with hydrualic only which is $380.

I bought my hydralic bike lift from Hare & Forbes at Parramatta on sale for $270. The regular price is $330. It lifts the etire bike up about 4 feet and is super easy to use. It is the type that clamps the front wheel.

The only photo's I have of it have half built bikes obsuring everything. Just Google Hare & Forbes. They have 2 types I bought the lighter one. I've had a fully optioned Electraglide on it for servicing without any problems. I did however add some anchor points to the front to secure the bike as well.

lifter looks good for servicing, I intend to strip and remove wheels
will look at available lift points on bike at the weekend and start fabbing
