Hi All,

New to this site, impressed so far. I need a little advise about whom i should speak to about getting a slightly custom exhaust made.

I ride a 2003 GSX1400, 45,000km on the clock and have had some mods performed to improve handling and not the motor. I am a fast and agressive rider. In any case, I want to experiment with the twin exhausts and go for something a little like the new R6 but a little shorty sticking out on each side.....

Any idea of whom I should contact.

Thanks in advance

Hi Big Daddy.
Depending on what you want / can get, some smart bugger did a 'how to' thread on shortening standard cans which was very good. some other smart bugger like Gix or Davo will no doubt post up a link for you very soon, and an even smarter one will be able to tell you who might be able to make / supply headers.
welcome and good luck :-)

gday BD.Suzuki make one of the best exhaust systems avaliable for todays sports bikes. The only problem is that they are restricted thru the silencers due to registration regulations(as im sure you already knew).best you get some aftermarket cans and shorten them yourself then take it to ya local zorst shop to have the collector pipes modified to suit your can positions.I use a zorsd shop that has a bike enthusiust workin there so he knows exactly what im talkin about when i turn up with nuthin more than a template and some dimentions. cheap way of makin a good zorst without replacing the whole unit.good luck
cheers

There's a guy in Sydney who specialises in custom made exhausts for motorbikes (made a very tasty underseat unit for a mates VFR800). Let me know if you're interested and I'll chase up the contact details.

As DAVO mentioned try checkn out a few local zorst shops see if ya can find some one with the skill and patience to do exactly what ya want... I had mine made up from the local zorst shop . just took him my bike with the cans bolted up to the mounts and collector in hand and said join the dots .. N he did the rest ...[8D][8D][8D]

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the responses. I already have a set of MadAz cans that have been shortened... but, I want something different. The latest GSXR750.... That is what I want, bu coming out at each end. So, what I need is someone that can modify the "Collector point" and then feed two customs mad exhausts out at either side..... As I am in melbourne, someone here is preferred....

But, have bike, 4x4 and trailer so will travel. Often travel to Sydney by car so it would not be a huge hassel to trailer the bike there also..... Alas, it would have to be turned around in a couple of days and not cost my third child as I love her dearly.
