View Full Version : WTB: Fat Bar risers

I need a set of risers to suit 1-1/8" Fat Bars.

Would prefer two-bolt through triple triple clamp but willing to look at other options.

Hi mate, can't help you with risers but can show you some past experience. I quickly ducked out to the shed and took some pics of some bits I'm saving.

I have a set of risers and fatbar for a Ducati S4RS Monster which are two bolt all the way through to the triple.

The two bolt set up on the K1 GSXR top clamp didnt work because the spacing of the bolts meant they would foul the reinforcing web and the ignition mount on the underside. I wasn't comfortable with taking a grinder to something as important as the bit that holds the bars on.

You can also see that it wouldn't have sat right on the top triple anyway.

So we got industrious and made a new lower half of the clamp, tapped some threads and helicoils into it, countersunk one hole in the bottom and made it into a single bolt set up.
I also cut and shaped some 8mm steel to fit inside the webbing to spread the load when you're playing silly buggers. Probably over engineered but better over than under, I always say.

I don't know what you're planning to use them on but keep this in mind.
The single bolt set up worked great but i wanted something a little more fancy and a little less home made.
In the end I replaced it with a complete ABM top triple conversion from AUSFR, it fits and looks the shit.
