The bike developed an oil leak from the base gasket a year and a half ago for whatever reason.
So after the drag season closed in early 2008, I parked the bike up and it sat pretty much untouched and unloved while I got the green bike together.
So about a month or so back, Morry got a timeslot at Motorcycle Masters to open her up and replace the base gasket and hone out a little glazing which apparently comes from not running it in properly.
Mind you Mozz is the one who ripped 10 wheelies every time he rode it from the time it was first built ! So shouldn't that be warranty...or something ?
Anyway, after a year of buggerising around, it's finally running and ready to rock and roll again !
Morry has made me solemnly promise that at least two tanks of fuel have to go through the bike before it can be hammered on the boost. Effectively banning himself from riding it [:p]
So here she is, now the air/fuel ratio guage actually works and so far, all the oil is staying on the inside.
Besides the fact that the new chain I bought is too short, it's ready for the road !
