Ever since buying the bike I have had this issue, its about time to fix it.

My bike has had LED replacement indicators fitted, and the issue i'm having is when I turn the indicator on, whether it be left or right, there is a 2-3 second delay until the indicators start working, however if i switch from left to right without turning them off, it works straight away.

My logic is, the LED's are a different wattage to the factory ones, and its confusing the Relay. If this is right, how can I go about fixing this issue? I don't care if I have to get new indicators.

Factory bulbs are 12V/23W.

Dave, I have a M-flash digital flasher, it seems to work quite well.

Any idea where I might be able to snap one of them up from?

That acts as a replacement to the relay does it?

I got mine from Stu, @ ASFR.

You remove the standard flasher and plug it in.

Oops, just realized that I have asked this question before, just forgot about it...
Oh and iceman, apparently this is the second time you've answered this question for me. Haha...

Iceman, how did you install yours? Is it a straight swap for the relay? Because as I understand, the relay has 3 wires into it, this is a simple 1-in 1-out.

I'm pretty sure I just put a couple of blade terminals on it and plugged it into the relay loom. I'll have a look tomorrow and make sure.

Thanks mate, that'd be awesome...
I've ordered the flasher unit from ASFR, so any info on how you wired it up would be great.

blade terminals straight in to factoy plug. Inline fuze on the + side.

Bare with me, i'm not that great on my electrical knowledge...

Am I right in saying all I have to do is remove the existing relay, with 2 wires going into it (Orange and Brown/Yellow), and plug the M-Flash in its place?

yup

I've got red wire from M flash into inline fuse then into orange wire and black from M flash to grey wire. (my bike is a suzuki so the colors will vary)

Oh, hang on... Did you add an in-line fuse to it? Because there is already an indicator relay fuse that I would presume did the same job?

I think i've got it sorted, ill just use it as a direct replacement to the existing fuse, and should work fine. Will update this thread if there's any issues ;)

I added an extra fuse, thought better be safe than sorry, but yeah, it'll work without it.
