Compression comparo

I measured my compression today and found I am running 155 psi on all four pots of my GSXR. I am running high comp pistons. I thought it would be higher than 155. Is this high? What are you guys running in your bikes as a comparison?[?]

We did a compression test on my 90,000k GSXR last week, but I'm fucked if I can remember what it was! Supercharger, what did we get mate?

standard 170-199 psi (11.78 - 13.71 bars)
minimum 142psi (9.78 bars)
maximum variation 28 psi (1.93 bars)

86-88 model
142-199 psi (9.78-13.71bars)
minimum 114 psi (7.85 bars)
max variation 28 psi (1.93 bars)

Davo, are you sure 170 to 199 is right? I'm well below standard and meant to have a fresh, full on performance motor!
I might as well bolt on a turbo now.

Don't stress.

As long as they are all similar you are fine.

There are a dozen things that change the reading.

Battery condition (biggest one), exhuast type, throttle wide open etc etc

The main thing is that there even, gauge may be innacurate ,
Also if its a hottie with wilder cams they will drop your cranking compression.
