G'day from Brunswick, Vic, Ive been wanting to do a streetfighter for a while and recently found a cheap ($2500) 94 YZF 750R that fit the bill.

It had been sitting in a garage and hadnt been started for two years.
It was a gamble but that made it all the more satisfying when I got it home, got it running and took it for a test ride, Woohoo, no problem, power mono's strong and tight. 34,000Km on the clock, everything on the bike looks original so that might even be true...(no log book) Just needs new discs for the roadworthy as far as I can tell.

So with that out of the way I can start collecting parts and planning the build.
I'll be going for a roadworthy and get it reg'ed in the next few weeks and then the real carnage can begin.

First shipment of parts

I got the discs from http://s3performance.com.au/ Hope these are OK couldnt find any reviews. Anyone tried them?

I picked up a 07 R6 tail for $66 on fleabay, that will be modified.

Still deciding what to do about the lower bar of the subframe, I might want to sell it with a roadworthy in the future...

waiting on shorter dogbones and a few other bits, will keep posting as things happen.

cheers

Welcome Dave looks like you already have a plan in place. i would get the rego done first just to save some potential headaches, then brake out the hacksaw and go nuts. Good luck in your quest.
