Looks like a Comet . They make awesome race bikes when you stuff a TPV crank kit and top end kit into one of make them breath and rev freer & harder. The last time I saw one as complete as this sell it went for $35k and that was a few years ago. With the history of it being in the one family for 50 years , the original nature of the bike and several other features that are desirable on it I suspect it will climb in price to about double what it is now. Vincent/HRD twins are a rare fish but the singles are alot rarer and in some ways more collectable .

The fact that the bidding went backwards several times wasn't good but at under $21k it was a bargain. Definitely a bargain for sure .
