I have decided i want to ditch the twin shock setup on my bike and go single, being a shaft drive a swingarm conversion isn't practical unless i crack the motor back open and put a different output shaft in. although it still an option.

the problem is the standard swingarm has a large center section preventing putting a linkage setup on the bottom with a shock going through.

So i was thinking on trying a Moto Martin style setup and wanted to know if anyone has and formulas or ideas on how to work out how long and the angle of the lever for the swingarm, and how to set up the angle of the shock?

how much of a fuck around are the valving and spring rates going to be if i use a conventional linkage road bike shock?

like this.
