GSXR 1100 - 750 engine compatibility

Oi All. Just a question that was asked of me and I thought one of you smart cookies would know.

Is am 88' GSXR750 clutch and gearbox interchangable with an 86' 1100 ????

Ammend that to include whether the starter motor assembly is the same and same question for a GSX750F to a GSXR1100 starter motor assembly too

hey chopper for the gear box and clutch assembly the short answer is no.

Hi Wayne,
750 GSXR and GSXF gearbox bits can be made to fit in 1100 case with a few mods.
I have done this with the bits you sold me once before.
Ratios may differ a little between GSXR and GSXF.
Clutch will not swap across. I believe it is a lighter duty clutch on the 750 and different drive gear(???).
Starter motors have different teeth count on shaft and will not mate up with gears between 750 and 1100.
