i DO like Slabsider's, and would be happy to own another,
especially one as clean and tidy as this......

but $10,000 (reserve not met)
and "easily keep up with late model stuff"

Get use to it, A good one is hard to find these days and sellers can ask whatever they please for the right one.
The one above in my opinion is probably in the top 3 models of slabby's built, the only thing missing is the 3 spoke wheels otherwise it would be #1.
Great colour, great model and appear to be in great condition.

10k seems a little over the top, but I doubt you will find more then a few of these around in this condition left. At 8k, if I were looking for one of these, I'd snap it

Jeez, I've got a spare set of 3 spoke wheels off a 1988 model, that should lift it to $12k then

Prices for good original GSXR's (Approx)

GSXR750RK 1989 Limited Edition - 25k+ (If it has the original race kit otherwise 15k+
GSXR750RG 1996 Limited Edition - 10k+
GSXR1100 1986-1988 - 6-8k+ depending on colour scheme (3 spoke models go for good money)
GSXR750 F,G,H Australian Model- 5k+ Providing good condition 1987's go for the best money but very rare.

I was waiting for a bite with... "easily keep up with late model stuff"

Not talking about you guy's who stuff it up the new stuff and
could put Rossi to shame if you had a chance, as im sure you all do.
I've owned one, and ridden plenty of Slabies, im not convinced
the last 20 years bikes havent moved on a bit...;)
Put one up against a late GSXR1000/big bang R1 or Blade,
I think "easy" is stretching it a bit.
Talking bikes, not riders.

Im a bit suprised at prices quoted, but if the good one's are few
then the prices will be justifed.
Personaly I wont be paying Busa prices for a 22 year old Slabbie.

I'd be just as happy with this........

Yes hence why I said good original ones, not the 30/31 pieces of crap that gets around

It's a GSXR750RK '89, from memory 150 were bought into aus, Ally tank, kevlar fairings, flat slides, close ratio 'box, etc. Going for around $15,000 -$18,000 now. Back in 1990 if you bought one you got a free RGV with it, cause suzuki couldn't move them. Super pricey at the time.

Yep, thats the RK I referred to in my above post.
150 bought into Australia, is that correct 80's Freak, I would have thought less considering only 11 of the previous limited Edition model came.
