Is there any front guards that will bolt straight up to 07 Hayabusa forks and clear the wheel? its the type with the old style 6 pot tokico calipers not radials.

looking at boosters 01 Gsxr the forks look very similar.

A bloke in the US came up with this solution:

Mounted and 06/07 GSXR 600/750 front fender to a Busa Front end Today.

Cut tabs

Trimmed the rear tab on the fender and fabricated spacers and brackets for the front tabs on the fender.

hmmmm..... i am as keen as the next bloke to go hard with the angle grinder but that seems a tad over the top and not that well thought out.

Mine's a stock guard trimmed down,
looks almost OK from the side but not good from the front,
(too big a gap between guard and tyre)

Dont need the bottom mounts but never got around to cutting them off
incase I found a BK / Mk2 / Gix1000 front and sold this one.

Im sure someone on here used a Busa front end on
a late model SV and kept the SV guard ?
(the later sharper angle model)

What's Harry going to use on his ?

Seem to remember you could buy 1k style guards for the busa, not sure if there still available.
doing the opposite on the landspeed bike with a busa guard going on the 750, steel adaptor bracker with no cutting .
used JBweld to make a mount last year, still going strong and survived 220mph..

Jay..get a SV1000 guard drill out the top mount to 16mm stretch over the front mount to fit....back mount fits spot on...too easy

I'm sure I've seen a K1/2 GSXR1000 front guard on the front of a few Hayabusa's

I'm 99% sure they are a bolt on fit too.

Busa top mount is spaced out a fair way, bottom one is central.
i read that a 07 gixxer front fits straight on a 08 busa

here's something from US

I put the k6 750 gsxr on mine. did a bit of filling and drilling but thats what it's all about. Used a couple of furniture end caps to cover the conical mount thingy and act as clamping washer. Works really well and got it nice and snug to the wheel too.

Booster put me onto making guard "lowering links" by tapping thread into sideplates from a chain joiner link.
530 or 630, Greg?

that sv1000 ones is a MASSIVE improvement (in an un-massive sort of way!)

Agreed.
Mine could do with one too.
Much better.
