Local with an R1 got a set of these not long ago. Swapped the stockers back on after the Hong Kong Specials fell apart on a ride leaving him with no brake lever and a clutch lever that was held togther with a bolt off a junk car & a cable tie.

Two piece levers mate . The brake end flew off at 100kph and couldn;t be found and while pulled over he checked the 2 piece clutch lever only to find that it was about to come apart as well . So he used a cable tie to strap it back together and used a bolt off a junk car to replace the pivot pin .

Do you mean 1 of these bolts fell out and lever dropped out...

It would have to be the upper bolts in the pic (not the ones on the red bit). Although, they'd probably both be worth checking out / testing.

I brake with 2 fingers and clutch with 4 so if there is any major break it will be the clutch side first.
I need USD on the 14 anyway ;)

Judging by the pic, the clutch lever's a bit touchy.

Done about 500ks on the 14 and no problem, just tighten up the bolts before mounting.

Thats a jack-up block, a lot of the 14 guys run them for looks and quicker steering but you loose stabilty over 180kph.

You've got me intersted in these now Des, Obiviously they don't have any for TRX, does anyone know if any other Yamaha models shared the same type of lever. Maybe earlier model R6?

They are the same model for both GSX14 and the B12. What looks like a cable attachment on the clutch lever is where a brass lug goes that helps operate a switch of some type.
Your stock lever will have the same thing.

My donor B12 had both levers broken so I ordered a set of these last week which arrived today

I have to say I'm pretty impressed, for $70 including freight I wasn't expecting much but they're nicely made and well finished. They also get my prize for the most eager to please ebay seller I've ever dealt with including sending me a photo of teh package as they were sending it. The one issue is that one of the red adjustment levers hits the bolt head so you can't adjust it to span 6, on the other side the lever has been machined to clear it so if it's an issue I'll dremel it myself.

Interestingly although the picture shows only one hole it's actually got the 3 pazzo holes and there's a little letter in the package explaining that someone else holds the design rights for the 3 hole design so they cant advertise it on ebay. If you look closely at the ebay photo you can see that theyve just photoshopped over the holes
