Also seriously considering my options for the swing arm, do i buy all parts necessary ie.. triumph or vfr and get Mr Shaw over at Extreme Creations to fit it? Do I splash out and get a JMC Mega Braced Swinger or Metmachex? Do I get my stock swinger braced with tubing on top, rather like that.. So many options.. Any thoughts Guys...??

Mate i'd luv to give an update, but heres the skinny... Had a massssivelly huge drop in interest in the ol bandit, long story short, Me old man bought the bandit in 99 and i bought of him in 03ish i think, its never changed names in rego, always in his name.. just never bothered with change over.. so had big family argument and havent spoken to my oldies or sister in a year, and he wont give me rego, I know i could prob make up a receipt or something in the form of a dodgy signature, but i just couldnt be bothered.. sooooo eventually i'll finish her and prob use as track bike, but for now its all go on the R1 has crossed my mind to part the ol girl but just cant do it.. sorry to dissapoint ya'll..

Familys er! What can you do with em!!!??? For years it was "Lets spend Christmas together" and "Pop round for lunch on Sunday" (So fuckin demanding) I had a gut full of that over the years mate so I poisoined most of mine and then burried them under my patio buddy.

I tell people they moved to Oz, but we know different though dont we mate, and to be honest, um glad the fuckers are dead. If you want to do your folks Todd and tell people they moved over here I'll say "Yeah, they live next to me". I mean, fuck! what are mates for?

Just a thought though mate, it gets a bit warm over there so if your gonna stick em under your patio, do em deep or they will stink the place up, and you wont want dingos scratchin around at night keeping you awake. The idea is to get rid of a problem, not create another one mate.

Now then, poisons! I dont know if you've had a chance to give them any thought yet, but I went down the deadly night shade route. Saying that, youre a bit luckier than me because you have lots of cool wild life over there like funnel webs and snakes. That would be the GITZY mate coz it would look more like a tragic accident, and you get to inheret everything and it solves the problem of your Dad signing the rego, happy days.

I thought of making mine look like an accident mate, but I wanted to make sure they were all dead so I went on a slash fest, and by the time I calmed down I'd stabbed them all 527 times. Bit hard to explaine that one, so hence the move to Aussie. Oh well mate, I got a nice flat screen T.V. out of it among other things, and it still had loads of warenty on it as my Dad had only just brought it the week before I did em all.

I did try the psyco thing and put on my Mums clothes, do the voice and stuff like that, but it wasnt really for me Todd. Her knickers rode right up the crack of me arse and were as uncomfortable as fuck. I thought "Nope, Jonny boy, if you get caught and end up in some nut house you might have to live with that for years to come" Sorry, not for me!

Well I hope this helps buddy, and I guess you could always go round and say sorry, then the only thing that gets hurt is a little bit of your pride, after all they aint gonna be around forever now are they mate, but I say "Naaaaaarh mate, do the fuckers now and have done with it"

On another note the weather is improving over here all the time, so it wont be long before I'm back out on the bike matey.

Happy days!!!!

Sooo, I was laying in bed last Saturday night browsing the Bikesales App on my phone and not often do I check Bandits because they depress me cos I let mine get away, but this time I did and low and behold the third one down was mine..

I'm thinking hey I'd love that back pity its in Tasmania, double take and oooh its in Sydney, quick text message to the wife to say "How cool is this its back where it all started" she sends one back "BUY IT!!!"

Can't argue with Wife logic can I and 7 days later The Bandito is back in my shed, albeit with a new headlight/mirrors/mudguard and wheel and best of all NSW Rego..

So let the Madness Begin yet again..

Not a major update, but anyhoo the electrics decided to shit itself a few weeks ago and I'm putting it down to the butchered loom/harness seen as though she was functioning fine and then after a mahoosive tub nothing.. I pulled the tank off to reveal the not so neat job I had done a few years back shortening the wiring..

Not to worry I found a unmolested complete harness and left and right switch block to replace the scratch to shit ones on the old girl.. also rummaged through some parts boxes I had and found some unused Bandit signature grips, an S3 Performance rear rotor, a factory pro 5 degree ignition advancer and a new valve cover gasket just in time for me to check the clearances, also bought the general servicing stuff to give her a freshen up..

Immediate plans are

*Get her electrickery sorted with a rewire and reattachment of the Acewell to the new harness.
*Get her running smooverlllllyyy intime for NFR , Usual plugs, air/oil filter carb sync check valve clearance etc..
*Then when Rego runs out in Janish full strip down ready for a repaint of the bodywork, blast and powder the frame and wheels and various bits etc..
*New rubber and a mahoosive tidy up maybe even a full stainless system..

Stay Tuned...

I saw that bike at a place I load out of at Villawood. The bloke who owned it told me it was for sale and I couldnt figure out where I had seen it but I knew it was one of the boys.
Small word!

Hey Wayne, the S3 Rotors are still attached to the B12 Wheel and its since had a GSXR wheel fitted with different rotors so I guess I'll never experience the pulse. :) I should maybe sell em..

It is a small world Weasel, I was stoked to find it..

Anyhoo I wired in the acewell plugs yesterday using these beut lil butt connectors with heatshrink built in, connect the wires crimp the connector and shrink the heat shrink.. water tight seal apparently and beats soldering IMHO.. Looks cleaner also, i've since wrapped it all back up with black tape so it looks all but factory.

Lol, I've heard both lads. I have a soldering iron and solder and had previously wired this same bandit using that method only to rewire this time and find the joins I had done before had cracked and seperated under the heatshrink over the last 16k kms thus hiding any future problems, they weren't critical wires high beam and left indicator but they still cracked none the less.. I am supremely confident in these connectors this time round..

Solder all the way. A good solder job will last forever

+1 , Good solder joint is mechanical first solder second, Twist then solder. But not to thick , heat shrink over the top length 3 times solder joint. Then bind just like a factory loom , Havent had a joint fail I know of yet.

How about we solder it then use the connectors with the shrink wrap?
Everyone satisfied?
