Due to the success of the 2006 European Championships, DAANI ( Dwarf Athletic Association Northern Ireland) have secured the bid to host the 5th Dwarf World Games 2009. The previous hosts of this prestigious event were Chicago, USA (1993), England (1997), Canada (2001) and France (2005)
Up to the opening ceremony on 26th July 2009, DAANI will be promoting and marketing the DAA World Championships through a number of media and advertising campaigns. Through partnerships developed with a number of sporting bodies, the World Championships will be promoted through a number of organisations.
The DAA World Games will be held at a range of top class venues throughout Belfast. These include the Mary Peters Track, Queens University PEC and the Grove Leisure Complex.
