Not got all the spec's but been told they dont look like
the old style camera's and they no longer need warning sign's.
Not sure how true that is ?

New one's here....

Pretty sure all the fixed cameras have to be signposted. In saying that they could have slipped in an amendment under our noses to remove that caveat. Hard to keep up to speed on what the fuck is supposed to happen anymore, far too much regulation.

I have heard that they are starting to build them into red light cameras, apparently a couple are in Brisbane already and soon every one in the state will be a red light and speed camera.

the toowoomba one is on the way from ipswich into toowoomba, its in the 90kmh section at the start of the range.
heading from toowoomba to brisbane there is one on the warrego hwy after blacksoil, its a 100kmh zone.
bruce highway from brisbane to bribie island, jsut before redcliffe was a fixed speed camera that was a 100kmh zone.
gold coast has one on the gold coast highway just outside jupiters casino if you are heading towards surfers from broadbeach.

thats the ones i remember and they are all fairly new and sign posted

Speed camaras,Toll roads, There are shit loads of them across Australia as a whole, with a population of only (approx) 25 million people scattered across Australia (Its a big place aint it).
You guys are fucked

So when will we see more Aussies taking a stand against speeding tickets in the courts, and not roll over and take it up the shitter ?

Same goes for toll roads, except I assume you would get what is called a civil penalty notice with some stupid crest printed on it, to make it look like it has come from a official government body, scare tactics usually mixed with some fancy words.Ask them for clear photgraphic proof that it was you driving or riding on thier toll roads which you own as a tax payer.

Stand up to the fuckers Guys your supposed to be tuff as fuck over there and take no shit, At least that is the image the rest of the planet has of the Aussies and you do bleat on about it your selves dont ya.

No offence intended to any aussies but fuck the aussie road laws and stuff shits me and you guys just seem to take it, when's it gonna snap.

Isnt there any camara wrecking squads in oz, so fuckin easy to destroy camaras, it takes seconds

There will be 7 new speed camera locations being tested in the south-east corner over the coming weeks and if
successful will be operational by mid 2010 and then will be rolled out through the rest of the state. These will
be:

TWO COMBINED RED LIGHT/SPEED CAMERAS -
Cnr Waterworks Road and Jubilee Terrace, Ashgrove
Cnr Beaudesert Road and Compton Road, Calamvale

THREE SPOT FIXED SPEED CAMERAS
Pacific Motorway, Loganholme
Gateway Arterial Road, Nudgee
Clem7 Tunnel, Woolloongabba to Bowen Hills

ONE MOBILE SPEED CAMERA - used at varying locations

ONE POINT-TO- POINT SPEED CAMERA SYSTEM
Bruce Highway, Caloundra Road to Wild Horse Mountain, Beerburrum

A point-to-point (or average) speed camera system uses a number of cameras over a length of road to measure a
vehicle's average speed. The system uses the time it takes for a vehicle to travel between the two points to
calculate the average speed of the vehicle: Speed = Distance/Time.
Point-to-point speed camera systems use a number of cameras mounted at staged intervals along a particular
route.

Point-to-point camera systems, like fixed speed cameras, are monitoring traffic 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
However, unlike current fixed speed cameras, point-to-point systems are not activated when a vehicle violates the speed limit at a given point in time measured by a speed detection device. Rather, point-to-point camera systems apply a mathematical calculation based on the time it takes for a vehicle to travel from one camera to the next and the distance between the cameras.

The first length of road the system will cover is approximately 13km.

I saw a motorbike mounted speed camera on monday morning. It has a LED spotlight for a flash and the camera is mounted on the RHS abouve the tail light. The fucker was parkes standing over the bike which appeared to be on the centre stand.

I also saw a motor bike copper with a digital camera mounted to the LHS of his helmet and he was scanning the traffic very intensly, looking up and down the cars as he traveled.

3 months into a dispute with the toll operators up here, so far sent an objection/clarification letter, court election letter (kept saying I owe them money without proving it was me, and claiming they can add fees to the original amount (illegal), just posted them a NOTICE OF DEFAULT - as they failed to respond to me at all - keep an eye out in the news papers, there will hopefully be a private settlement agreement posted in there for all to see :P
fuck em - if they arent going to prove they can operate legally, lawfully, and most importantly conforming to the CONSTITUTION - they can fuck off.

anyone got a nice tie I can borrow for court (I'll probly lose! haha)
