Im installing my Dyna 2 step rev limiter on my GSXR, and it needs to be operated through a clutch operated switch. Im sure i can wire it through the clutch relay that makes starting the bike only by holding the clutch in, Kawasaki style. However the Suzuki (as far as i know ) dont use this system. It uses a Nissin clutch master cylinder and under the clutch master cylinder it looks like there is a place such a switch goes, but im not sure. See the below pic. Im hoping that the switch is generic to most Nissin hydaulic clutch systems. When the clutch lever is pulled in it closes the circut enableing the lower/launch rev limit to be activated, when the clutch is released the circit is broken and the high rev limit will be activated. Any ideas how i can do this?

My 96 gsxr and Busa both have switches there, should be easily found at suzuki.Otherwise Dick Smith or Tandy have microswitches that would adapt easily

Looks like a standard suzuki brake light type switch.
I'll check it out at work tomorrow & sort one out for ya mate.;)

Apparantly some countries used a clutch operated switch to start the bike like Kawasaki does. It shouldnt be too hard to get one if thats true.

Papas right Oz - that mount is for a standard Suzuki front brake switch. You can get them aftermarket too (MCS). From memory, they should be around $20.

I just tried the front brake switch and it is different, it wont even go close to fitting.

OZ cause it's hydraulic you could use a banjo bolt pressure switch. Stu sells them for about $20

Ben ill use the banjo pressure switch if i cant find an original mounting style switch. Not sure how the banjo one works tho.
Dazz, not sure what year master cylinder it is cause its 88 750 frame 89 motor and other bits made up to 95
Iceman, i was wondering how much trouble it would be to get a pic of the underside of your RF master cylinder and switch, at least then ill be able to tell if they are the same and can order one.

Same as the other type OZ, two wires that link when theres pressure in the line (when you pull the clutch in).

Got the 2 step wired up tonight and tested it at only 3000rpm so not to upset the neighbors too much ;). Works perfectly. Papa Smurf has ordered the correct switch for me so ill be trying it out soon. Thank for the help fellas :D. Cheers Shayne
