Hi everyone, i'm a newbie so be gentle lol.
We had a VFR800 1998 mod until my husband crashed it last week, we are looking at either selling it as is or street fightering it , Any comment or ideas would be great.

Does anyone know anything about the radiators on the side? Do they need the fairing to guide the air flow?

yeah he came off way better than the bike, "i have had bigger injuries from a push bike", dislocated thumb and a few gravel burns. The bike wasn't insured so it is still regoed till march? and hasn't been declared a write off , clear titles all round

You hit the nail on the head with the biggest problem and that is the side mounted radiators. I have seen a VTR done well before but can't for the life of me remember what he did with the side mounted rads? Anyone here remember that one?
Hang on, just did research. It's in the Honda Gallery on this site. Turns out he did nothing, they are still there! Check it and see what you are in for if you don't mind the rads: http://www.streetfighters.com.au/ASF_gal_honda.asp
I've seen a fightered VTR-thou around Melbourne which has dirtbike style shrouds over the radiators. Looked heaps better than without.
Then again, err yuk its a honda!
I've seen the radiators relocated into a new (better looking) tail unit
