Is there a good alternative to polishing your bike, all my bike is alloy polished & it’s a real pain as you know, but I have looked at plating & the only place I have found that does it is Electromold, I know they do a top job but $2200 dollars for the main frame section that’s already polished is a big ask,

Does anyone know any other options?

Get it clear coated after it's polished and then you just wash it and ride it.

eplate = seams to plate steel with home made diy kit, have emailed him for confirmation.

clear coat = dulls the alloy & looks shit very quick when it gets chiped.

Powder coat it flat black! = NO

so is Electromold the only one in OZ to plate alloy?

This is an polish and clear coat job and it's plenty shiny and hasn't chipped or anything.

The latest clear coats are really tough and really clear.

Not like they used to be.

Go with the Alsa clears, they are designed to adhere to polished surfaces without dulling.

There's an Australian distributor in Melbourne
